This update fixes a crash that could stop LeafTok from opening at all. The AI narration voice model was loading every time the app started — even for readers who never used narration — and that load could close the app. Once it happened, every launch after it failed the same way within seconds. The voice model now loads only when you actually choose an AI voice, and a failed load simply disables that voice instead of closing the app.

Footnotes

A great start to an app that I can already tell will be one that I go to instead of doomscrolling.
I would love support for footnotes. A lot of books I read have asterisks that link to a footnote page, but from what I’ve seen so far the app doesn’t allow you to click on the asterisks.
