Through the use of artificial intelligence, ERMA can provide excavators with new and important insight about their Locate Requests. Monitoring overall Locate Request volume near an excavator's Locate Request, AI can determine that the probability of locators not being able to respond to the Request in a 48 hour period. Through ERMA, the excavator can now be notified that there is a likelihood of the excavation site not being entirely responded to, which could create delays. The excavator can now click on a date within 12 business days, if they choose, that is not witnessing a concerning level of Locate Requests in the area, which in turn improves the probability the locators will be able to respond. While not a guarantee the site will be excavation ready at 7:00 AM on the chosen date, the excavator will have a higher probability of excavation readiness by taking advantage of this feature.
