One Lamp becomes the root node and connects with the router at the same time controlling child lamps. This technology does not need a central point like other known smart lamps like Phillips Vue or Osram lightify. Is far superior, since using interconnected devices where each device is also an access point your WiFI reach will be expanded on a much larger area than your router coverage. That said, this controlling app is well designed, user friendly and configures the lamps just with a few clicks. Get closer to the target since configuration is Bluetooth. ESP32 Lamps are available on Taobao but you can also make your own lamp just check in hackaday website for ESP32 Mesh Lamp.
