Too many software bugs

Doesn’t work…..I really want to love this app. I have a huge wardrobe and I’m in the process of taking photos and uploading them. The issue is my images keep erroring out. Even if they don’t error out, when I open the results to add the generated image to my wardrobe, it shows a blank image …..and by the off chance it actually does have an image and I add it to my wardrobe, the image is not there after doing so. So it’s extremely frustrating to use because it doesn’t work.

Don’t upgrade to Max plan; there doesn’t seem to be a difference

I loved that it was pretty simple to upload my clothes, and was really excited to see what outfits it put together. Some outfits are great, but I noticed the pro version outfits felt random and were incredibly weather inappropriate. I upgraded to Max for a week, which costs a ridiculous amount of money, but hey if it’s a good upgrade I’d possibly pay it. I saw absolutely no difference. I still can’t give feedback about specific things I like or don’t like about outfits, and the outfit combinations continue to be super random. I created an event and asked the ai to give shorts ideas for that event and not dresses, and I got zero shorts ideas. I messaged customer service to see why there is no difference in my max experience to the pro experience and haven’t heard anything back. I’m now wondering if it’s a scam and am going to cancel the subscription. So sad as this has the potential to be so cool.

DO NOT USE OR SUBSCRIBE
I have never written a review before so trust me when I say this is not worth it. I paid $30 to get the pro subscription and I uploaded 50 to 100 items including shirts, shoes, jeans, T-shirts, and jewelry and it gives me the same eight suggestions and they don't match at all and it doesn't even use all the clothes I uploaded. And it is always putting a tank top under all the shirts, even when shirts are perfectly fine without a tank top under it. Save your money and do not subscribe totally not worth it. $30 down the drain.

Great app, but needs UI work done and updated AI…

This app has a great concept and makes it easy to upload your clothing and generate outfits. Some of the outfit suggestions are genuinely impressive and put together really well.

The biggest issue is the user interface. It can feel slow and clunky, occasionally bugs out, and often has strange visual glitches or design elements that do not work properly. The app also tends to repeat the same outfits, and it does not seem to use everything you upload. When trying to generate too many outfits at once, the screen sometimes goes completely blank.

Overall, it is a great app with a lot of potential, but it still needs some improvements before it can be considered a top-tier experience.

Response from developer

Really appreciate you taking the time to upload your wardrobe and write such detailed feedback. We’re actively improving the UI, stability, and outfit generation. We’d love to hear more, so feel free to email contact@essembl.com and help us build a better Essembl.

BAD.

Okay so I was going about my day and I saw this cute lil app that assembles my outfits because I am a indecisive lil queen. So as one does I get the app..(obviously) I am getting rly excited and I am customizing my style but then I see the ugly little rat pop up on my screen. It says I have to pay money.. for this.. ARE YOU JOKING?! Bc it’s NOT funny. I was so exited I was so invested and then it tells me I have to pay money to pick out my outfits as in I don’t have eyes and a brain already. SO DONT GET THIS. (The one time I wanted to be a cute lil aesthetic queen it gets ruined by that AWFUL THING… like
girl be so fr. BYE)

Needs improvement

I don’t mind paying for something like this, but the AI could use a lot of work. It’s actually very very good at generating the items based on the photos you upload and I was shocked at how accurate it was. The issue is the actual style generator. It gets very hyper fixated on certain items and will only show one pair of earrings when you uploaded 15. Also, the training the AI part is based on random pieces of clothing and “styles” rather then your actual preferences and what is in your closet. There also should be a way to change your preferences after you have started, as it makes you choose things when you set the app up and there is no way to change them. The style preferences is also very limited with only a few options like “casual” and “vintage” etc. This app has a lot of potential but right now with how the outfits are generated I will not be using it.

Payment is super unnecessary!! 😒😕

i understand that apps have to make money to stay running, however you should atleast make it an option!
If it is and i missed an X somewhere you need to make it way more noticeable!
it shouldn’t cost to put some outfits together.
at this point i’ll just use google gemini! 😡

Thanks for sharing this. We understand it can feel frustrating. Essembl is a premium experience, and the subscription is clearly shown before activation and again in the store confirmation. If you’d like trial access first, email contact@essembl.com and we’ll help you out.

Horrible App

Half the clothes I scanned they gave me variants? Not the piece I scanned, trying to make outfits with the ai is atrocious, apps button don’t work half the time, it’s just a half-assed app

pay

it makes you pay for it once you download it.

I like it

Very nice 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Might as well use ChatGPT

Why am I paying an ai to plan my closet. Don’t even get me started on the PLAN’S PRICES. Just give us a free option with the CHOICE of paying like bro. ChatGPT would be cheaper to use and plan y’all

The ads were a scam

Essembl seems like a pretty good app and I would definitely use it if it didn’t cost money in the ads it said that you can make outfits for free but you have to pay to use it and I don’t want to pay for something I could do by myself if they made a free version I would download this app

Wasting my time

Please just set the price in the AppStore and not make me go through the entire process of setting it up to just get hit by the paywall

so much potential

this is the first closet app to make uploading clothes easy and fast. although there are some major features lacking:

- we need more slots for accessories when creating outfits so we can add multiple pieces of jewelry as well as purses sunglasses etc.

- folders for outfits that can be labelled to fit themes like “going out fits” “school”

- option to select between a simple background removal or ai generated picture when uploading a single article of clothing

- a brush tool to refine ai generated images to fix minor things when ai hallucinates like added straps

- when doing style training, its great that there is a link to the product, but being able to favorite it and keep it saved so we can look back and potentially buy in the future. this feature would be even more helpful in the item finder tool.

cant wait to see this app get better with time and im liking it so far

I dont wanna pay

The app says free to download, which it is, but yoy cannot actually use anything on the app without paying. You cant even take photos of your clothes without paying! I think that there should be in app purchases but there should be free features too! I recommend free apps like whering or acloset.

Way too much money

It’s way too expensive! It’s literally 12.99 A WEEK!? I can’t afford this but if you’re really rich I would recommend. It’s a great idea just too much. Maybe make a free option or at least cheaper. If it was free I would give it a easy 5 stars 😢

They trick you

Signed up and paid for this app, started using it and training the AI. Now when I sign in I’m asked to upgrade if I want nicer outfits? Going to get a refund. The outfits it recommended are nowhere near worth the money. It’s like a 4 year old is picking them.

Just no.

TOO EXSPENSIVE I DONT WANNA PAY MONEY FOR SOME AI TO MAKE AN OUTFIT THAT IM LIKE EHHH NO.

Easy

Very easy set up process

Scam

Was excited for this app to help me fix my style when it said free but it make you pay
