Can’t use my gift cards
Not able use my gift cards as payment and not been able to pre authorize a specific amount at the pump.

JULY 2026 UPDATE: Why is it not possible to change my email address in the app? When the current email address goes defunct then what am I supposed to do? Not impressed. Please fix this. Otherwise, it is working better now than in my original review.
This App has only worked 25% of the time. Very frustrating especially in trying to minimize contact during the pandemic. Highly disappointing given the great function it could be serving. Keeps coming up with “Network Error”. Well it’s sure not my ISP that’s in error given every other App that runs just fine!

Doesn’t work
I have been keep using the app to pay the gas, it keep have the error message. Apps need to be updated
Doesn’t work anymore
Used to work fine but now it just tells me “sorry, the requested pump is not available.” Annoying enough that I just go to Shell for gas now, although it would have been nice to collect points.
App doesn’t function
This is the fourth time I have a problem paying at the pump on Mavis & Steeles. When I press the authorize tap it says unable to process.

Pump number often not recognized. Have to punch in phone number and I think I miss out on points. Need new gas loyalty program
Won’t let me sign in
Even though I already had a password, it would not work. So did Forgot Password? It wouldn’t accept it even though it was all green for each requirement. Changed it 5 times and it a no go. Can’t even create a new account because my email is in the system! Frustrating!

Went to a station regularly that was on the app. I could fill up using the app now it is no longer a location on the app. Can’t even punch it in manually. frustrating as I can’t get the extra points paying through the app.

Wanted to pay at the pump through the app but it never works. Despite entering correct CC information it always gives me an error message. So frustrating.

This app sux! I can’t add any e-gift cards even though it says it’s so easy to do. Deleted it and now I’m stuck with a gift card I can’t use .. thanks for nothing!
Keeps asking to update but there's no update
Every time I open it I get a notice that I need to update the app. If I say no, it doesn't work. If I say yes it goes to the App Store and there is no update. I just click open and then it works. Annoying and slows me down at the pump. Supposed to be more efficient!
Best app
Best app if you have a prepaid credit card. It uses up what’s left. I had $7.60 left and I didn’t have to preauth $7.60 or anything (quite honestly I didn’t know the exact balance left). It just used it up. Once it got to the prepaid card amount left the pump just stopped. I just had to put it as a first payment method in the app. I did do another transaction because I wanted another 10 in gas but I paid $10 on regular credit at the pump. Shell app wasn’t this good for what I did

Great App but requires more to be desired
The app is great, it provides you links to open the PC optimum. The interface is easy and simple. However, you are unable to set a prepay amount and it automatically takes out $150 from your credit card. If you want to prepay less, you’d have to use the machines and lose the double points reward.
