Less features, more issues
This app used to be great! Stacking offers and rarely went down. Now I cannot use some cards, I can’t stack offers and the app is down I’d say 20-30% of the time!
Clunky app
Slow and clunky app. Takes forever to load. By the time it does you could have already paid for your petrol. Will actively avoid Esso as a result as BPs app is way better

Slow and clunky
This app is far worse than the one it replaced. It’s very slow to fire up and becomes very clunky and slow to respond when finding stations and taking payments. Also doesn’t auto email receipts like the last version. A real step backwards and it puts me off using Esso stations if I can avoid them. BP and Shell apps have none of these issues so become my brand choice for simple trouble free fill ups.

Rubbish
So far I’ve added my Esso fuel card it showed me my pin so I could use it, it’s now disappeared so can’t see my pin number can’t use my fuel card complete waste of time
Used to be great, now useless
Used to use this app for fuelling up , as did my partner. But the last 6 times I’ve tried, it has failed multiple times, not ideal when you are holding up a queue of cars or are alone at night and just wanting to get back in your car for safety. Tried uninstalling, not working. Big shame.
No contact
Tried to change my number with the app. No response despite multiple contact. Unhelpful

Every time I try and use it I have to do Lloyds check then it drops out on your rubbish app the system was way better not happy
New app is slow
Takes a long time to load, and then another long time to find the station. The old app was faster.
Esso App
App not recording my sales. Having to chase up customer service to get points added. This carries on will delete app and just use Shell as I have had no issues with their app
Problems
Tried using this App a few times now, gave up in frustration, very slow and then refused payment, it’s quicker to fuel up as normal and go into pay, there is nothing wrong with my Apple Pay, will give it one more try if it’s still the same I’ll be deleting.
Another failed attempt to use this App today, slow to load, bad layout of screen making it difficult to choose your pump, then payment not accepted using Apple Pay, whereas I don’t have any problems elsewhere using Apple Pay, customer service contacted with no reply, do yourselves a favour and avoid using this worthless App.

Esso account
I have used my Esso account twice now but the app is not showing any of the transactions
Reset Password Loop
I can’t login to the app as it sends email to reset password. The link won’t open the app so all I get is Oooops! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same issue. Waste of time
Rubbish
Try to link app with Nectar to enable ‘pay at pump’. This comes up with a warning that the app is insecure and a threat to security of my data - financial etc.
Completely Useless
The loyalty stamp never work. Scanned and no stamp collected. No extra rewards at all. Paying by app not working, not even once. Just delete the app and forget about it. Esso should fire the whole app department and save money.

Doesn’t quite work as it should
The App is useful for avoiding the queue in my local ESSO but it is a bit bizarre the way it won’t fill up to the amount selected. I selected £40 and the pump stopped at £37.09. Next time I selected £30 but the pump stopped at £27.55. On neither occasion was it because the tank was full so why does this happen?

Shocking
So after the update, it’s still not giving the points allocation to your nectar card, as I was advised 7 months it’s getting sorted. , yet no double points no additional points no prizes ? I spend £120 a day on diesel yet stilll 4th fill double (nothing ) 8th fill up (still nothing)
Not impressed
Giving the app another chance having used it a few years ago, but stopped when it ended up taking longer in Petrol station than paying in kiosk.
Thought it was time to give it another try. With this version it can’t add my credit card and PayPal now isn’t an option.
