About

Deceased estates, properly drafted. EstateCalculus is a native macOS and iPhone tool that drafts, validates and exports the official Master of the High Court forms required to wind up a deceased estate in South Africa - accurately, quickly, and free of charge. Built for estate practitioners who would rather spend their time on substance than retyping the same details across four government PDFs - EstateCalculus captures the estate once and produces the J294, J243, J192 and J155 forms ready for signature and lodgement. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Capture an estate once - the deceased's particulars, the surviving spouse, children and next-of-kin, the executor and applicant, assets and liabilities — and let EstateCalculus populate every form for you. • Generate the official Master's forms straight to PDF: the J294 Death Notice, the J243 Inventory, the J192 Next-of-Kin Affidavit and the J155 Acceptance of Trust as Executor. • Validate as you go. EstateCalculus flags missing details, inconsistent dates and incomplete sections before you export - so the bundle that arrives at the Master's office is complete the first time. • Export the entire bundle as a single PDF, ready to print, sign and lodge. • Work natively on macOS and iPhone. Move between devices seamlessly - your estates follow you. FORMS SUPPORTED • J294 - Death Notice (items 1–21, including marital regime and next-of-kin schedule) • J243 - Inventory of assets, liabilities and claims in favour of the estate • J192 - Next-of-Kin Affidavit, with the surviving spouse, parents, children and siblings blocks correctly populated • J155 - Acceptance of Trust as Executor (single or multiple executors) BUILT FOR • Attorneys and legal practitioners handling deceased estates as part of their practice • Accountants and tax practitioners winding up estates on behalf of clients • Anyone who has ever opened a Master's PDF in Preview and wondered why the form fields wouldn't behave PRIVACY AND YOUR DATA EstateCalculus is designed around Apple's privacy model. Your estate data is stored in your own private iCloud database - on your devices and in your Apple account, never on third-party servers. The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising frameworks or tracking. When you choose to share an estate with a colleague, sharing happens through Apple's CloudKit invitation flow - end-to-end, between Apple IDs you control. You own your data. You can export, share or delete an estate at any time. WHY IT IS FREE EstateCalculus is offered free of charge. There are no in-app purchases, no advertising and no subscription. The app exists to make the paperwork side of estate administration less painful for practitioners who already carry enough. IMPORTANT EstateCalculus is a drafting and document-generation tool. It is not a substitute for legal advice and does not replace the professional judgement of an attorney, advocate or qualified estate practitioner. The accuracy of any form generated depends entirely on the accuracy of the information entered. You remain responsible for reviewing, signing and lodging the forms with the Master of the High Court. EstateCalculus does not lodge forms on your behalf and does not constitute legal practice as contemplated in the Legal Practice Act.
