Didn’t care for it

It’s hard to see how this app is going to deliver on its wild promises. Tried to sleep with this playing and the only thing I felt was annoyance. Not sure what I was expecting, but perhaps I imagined voices of affirmations, hypnotic suggestion or even binaural beats. What I got was exactly two eerie tones playing on an endless loop that must have cost nothing to produce.

Hi, We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the Nightcap audio. We would like to clarify that Ethera has transformed many lives, and it's worth noting for other readers that your critique is primarily aesthetic - a matter of personal listening preference - not a comment on Ethera’s formula or its efficacy. The annoyance you felt may well have been the subliminal layer of thousands of affirmations woven beneath the brown noise and Delta-frequency binaural beats of the Nightcap track. As noted in the user guide, if the audio bothers you, play it at low volume and still receive the benefit, or opt out of that specific audio type altogether. Subconscious reprogramming is not easy work, and we don't claim it to be. Just as a gym delivers results in exchange for hard effort, Ethera is a boot camp for your most stubborn negative beliefs. When the subconscious mind encounters statements that conflict with hard-set beliefs, it can become triggered and resistant to change. Therefore, the intensity of the Ethera formula is very different from a calming guided meditation or slow affirmation video found online. For those who can't stomach one specific audio type, Ethera employs five daily audio types that target the subconscious from many angles. We hope you find a method that works best for you in the future.

Great app

Listening to these journeys has improved my life tremendously. It can’t be a coincidence that I started my life has gotten better since I started listening to these audios. Thank you so much and I hope more journeys are coming.

Different from your average meditation app

I thought I was getting myself into a standard meditation app. What I really found was an app that helped me hear the things that I always wanted to believe about myself (but never felt deserving or worthy), through meditative re-imaging.

Poor Bluetooth quality

Not only does this not work with headphones that aren’t Apple AirPods but it doesn’t use a regular playback so if you try to pause and play from your headphones you’ll end up blasting music or an audio book you were previously listening to. Not to mention not all the recordings work when requested. $139 a year is STEEP for something still working out major bugs

Hi, we’ve just submitted an update to Ethera with refined audio controls to support smoother playback when using offscreen audio controls - you can expect to see those changes live within a few days. Just to clarify, Ethera works with standard Bluetooth headphones, not only Apple AirPods. Other users and testers have been able to listen with different headphone brands. If you’re having trouble with a specific pair, please email us at support@ethera.online so we can help troubleshoot it directly and help you out!

Lovely app

I did the digital discipline journey. Had really bad phone habits and scrolled in all my free time and couldn’t get much done. I literally wanted to throw my phone away by the end of it! 😅 Not actually, but real life became so much more interesting. And got the ick from my phone. Very cool how much more automatic it became for me to unplug and get my energy back
