Just used it after a tick bit me. Well designed app, very fast and efficient, including a detailed response via email
Good Turnaround Time
You get a confirmation right away after posting a picture of the tick and they get back to you quickly with identification and info about the type of tick. They also have resources of what to do. It’s comforting having the app handy. My dog has had 2 ticks this year. Luckily neither had attached to him. I guess because of the flea/tick meds

... mais a besoin de polissage.
Par exemple , les filtres ne fonctionnent pas bien. Pour la province, ca semble marcher... mais pas moyen de rentrer la ville, le filtre se reset apres application. Les filtres de dates ne fonctionnent pas non plus. La map est un peu chargée par defaut. faudrait simplifier le niveau de détails...
Sinon, pour le reste c'est intéressant, mais je vais y revenir, je viens tout juste de l'installer.

This is an amazing, easy and practical app!! Very easy to get type of tick diagnosed when you find it on yourself or your Pet! Knowledgable and helpful staff! Year-round program! I live in a tick area and I’m using it often. Very very thankful for this app and the dedicated program scientists!!!

Easy to use. Simply take a picture of the tic and you get an message soon after with an identification.

Tick identification turnaround time was a couple of hours. Plus the data help public health folks monitor where ticks are. Great stuff!!

2 day turnaround for tick verification
helped me and my family a number of times and eased our anxiety when we find a tick (or one that turns out not to be a tick). The 2 business day turnaround for letting users know whether it was a tick or not is the killer feature. The map of crowd sourced ticks is very helpful too. Thank you.

I am most grateful to have had this app/service available to identify a tick removed from my son recently. Identification was quick and definitive and guided our treatment of the bite. I’m also impressed that this is a free service.

I’m so grateful for this app. My yard backs on to a provincial park and frequently have wildlife including deer nearby. We also have a dog so I’m grateful that I can get a quick identification of ticks found in house and on our dog. Thanks for the good work!!! Lyme disease and other diseases from ticks are no joke.

Was useful….. but not anymore
I installed this when it first came out and found it useful. I didn’t want to provide any personal info so I used the “guest” option which permitted me to see where the ticks were in my area. This spring when I opened it I found I could no longer use guest (button is there but doesn’t work)…. I must open an account or provide my Facebook password. Uh….. no…. Decided to uninstall instead.
UPDATE May 27/2022
Developer replied saying the app issue had been resolved. Reinstalled the app and tried again. No change, still not working using “guest” option.

Nice app
This is a must-have app for people who enjoy hiking or dog owners who walk in the woods a lot. But the icon definitely some improvements.
Great App
Due to Covid, my local public health directed me to your wonderful app. My daughter was bitten by a tick and I noticed it on her. She was very panicked and needless to say, we were much relieved to know that it was not a deer tick. Thank you for your wonderful service you really put a child and parents mind at ease! Super fast service!

People fantastic, app a little glitchy
After removing a burrowed tick I wanted to know if it was a species that could be a carrier of diseases I should be aware of. The app would redirect me to the website instead of submitting through the app but I got an email back pretty quickly with lots of great information. They were fantastic to deal with. I highly recommend using their services, the app needs some work but it’s something easily worked around.
