About
Etta calls your parent, not you — a warm, friendly daily check-in on the phone they already have. No app for them to install, nothing to wear or charge; a landline or flip phone works perfectly.
It all runs on their permission: on the very first call Etta introduces herself as an AI companion and asks your parent directly whether daily calls are welcome. No yes, no calls — and if they ever say "please stop calling," calls stop immediately.
After each call, you get a little note: how they sounded, what they talked about, and the small things worth knowing — in their own words.
BETWEEN YOUR CALLS, NEVER INSTEAD OF THEM
Nearly one in three Americans over 65 lives alone (U.S. Census Bureau). You call when you can. Etta fills the quiet days in between, so someone friendly checks in every single day — and you always know how they're doing.
A REAL DAILY CALL
• Etta phones at the time you pick, in their time zone, around their routine
• Warm, unhurried conversation — how they slept, the garden, the grandkids
• They just answer the phone. Nothing to learn, nothing to set up on their end.
THEIR OWN WORDS, NOT A FORM
• After each call: a short recap with the lines that matter, quoted exactly as they said them
• A gentle mood trendline and a "This week" summary
• A note if a call goes unanswered or something deserves a closer look
• She gently asks about suspicious calls — a stranger pressing for money or gift cards — and flags it for you. Etta never asks your parent for money or personal details.
• Etta remembers — bridge night, the neighbor's name, how they take their tea
BUILT ON PERMISSION
• Etta introduces herself on the very first call and asks your parent directly if the daily calls are welcome
• Your parent can say "please stop calling" at any time, to Etta herself — calls stop immediately
• You can record a short greeting in your own voice so every call opens with someone they know
ONE PLAN, THE WHOLE FAMILY
Share a read-only care-circle link so siblings see the notes and the trend too — only you pay, the whole family sees it. No extra seats, ever.
PLANS
• Free — the one introduction call, where your parent says yes or no
• Care ($19.99/month, or $199.99/year — about two months free) — a friendly call every day, recaps in their words, concern flags, and 150 call minutes a month
• Care+ ($34.99/month) — morning and evening calls, 250 minutes, plus Ask Etta about how they're doing
Every plan starts with 14 days free. Subscriptions auto-renew each billing period until canceled in Settings; cancel during the trial and you won't be charged.
HONEST BY DESIGN
Etta is an AI companion and never pretends otherwise — she tells your parent she's an AI on the very first call, and every summary in the app is labeled as AI-generated. Daily calls are transcribed, never audio-recorded (the one recorded call is the consent call — your parent's documented yes). Your family's conversations are private and never sold.
Etta is not an emergency service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency response. She doesn't replace doctors, caregivers, or — most of all — you. If you believe someone is in danger, call your local emergency number.
