Doesn’t work
Response from developer
Hi Okthisone? - I’m so sorry this has been happening! I _think_ I tracked the issue down. I’ve released a new version of the app (3.4.0) that _should_ resolve the issue. You mentioned that you tried contacting me, but I haven’t gotten any messages, so I need to check into that as well. For now, feel free to reach out to me directly at damonbauer@protonmail.com if you need anything. Damon

loopytrigger - I apologize for this. I found an issue with the way the app was handling inputs & I’ve pushed a fix. Please try closing and re-opening the app a few times - it should no longer give you the “something went wrong” error message. Thanks for taking the time to leave this feedback, I really appreciate it. Damon
Excellent app
This is a useful tool that helps to quickly calculate things, and provide a visual reference.

Thanks so much for your comment. I do try very hard to listen to & incorporate feedback. I’m delighted to hear the app is useful to you!
Not good
But I saw quickly this app has few major issues. First if you type into the field a longer distance.. let’s say 2meter or 2000mm .. and then you want split it in 15 or 17 even spaces. U can’t read the numbers. What is missing .. first for bigger distances the chance to enter in cm or meter that you can read the numbers. Or at least let us zoom in to read the numbers. Otherwise for bigger distances useless and I wasted the $3. Unfortunately in this stage I can’t use it!

Hello WNIFBC - I apologize that this was your experience with the app. You’re right - the examples you laid out cause the app to be quite unusable. While it’s not exactly the solution you proposed, I’ve just released a new version of the app that allows you to display a table with each piece’s start and center measurements. I’m hopeful that even when there’s not enough space for the preview to show all the pieces & measurements, this table will still provide the essential data you’re looking for. Let me know what you think! Damon
Residential Remodeler - Very Helpful
Suggestions:
1) Change the label from ‘update’to ‘calculate’, it’s more intuitive.
2) When new information is entered, highlight the update/calculate button, so the user realizes they need to click it to change what they’re seeing.
3) Most helpful for me, would be to label the starting measurement of every point versus the center measurement of every point or have it as an option. For example, if the spacing is calculated out and the center of X aligns with the 2 1/2” mark, but its 1” wide and actually placed beginning at the 2” mark, that’s how I want to see it to lay it out with a tape measure. Otherwise I need to find the center of every piece and line up both centers, just adds work.
Great app though Thank you.

Hi Cmstskrt - I’m really glad to hear you’ve found value in this little app & especially grateful that you have taken the time to write your thoughts & leave a review! I’ll be sure to take a look at implementing your suggestions, I totally agree that it would help the app be even better. Thanks again, Damon — EDIT: I’ve gone ahead and added these changes to the app. Thanks again for the feedback! Damon
Piece first
Response from developer
Hello, You need to: - increase or decrease the number of pieces - toggle the “Pieces on ends” switch - press “Update”
Good thing it was only .99 cents
Response from developer
That’s incorrect. There is no limit on the numbers you can enter. Try entering a larger number, then pressing the white “update” button.
