The Best Solution I’ve Found To Round Out Your Estate Planning Needs!

Everplans is one of those rare apps where you’ll find yourself only recollecting about the positive aspects and will actually have trouble thinking of ANY negative items to even point out! I am now on my third year with this service and I will likely be sticking with it indefinitely. I say “service” as Everplans is far more than only an app; but a secure, cloud-based repository to essentially trust a lifetime of documents and information!

I should point out that this particular app is iPhone-only as it formats your data to be best displayed on a handheld device, however I will regularly utilize their secure website when accessing this service on larger screens such as on my iPad or laptop. You could easily use Safari’s “Add to Home Screen” feature to place an icon directly on the home screen of your iPad (or laptop). Most browsers have this feature as it’s not just limited to Safari. So, this gives me easy access to their web app on all of my other devices. This is essentially why I am not going to nitpick over a Universal or iPad-specific app.

Although I’m clearly a big fan of Everplans in general, their support is where things really shine. Issues are extremely rare, but I had to contact support for an odd integration issue and I was frankly amazed at how well they handled things! They responded quickly, the person that I discussed my case with took personal responsibility to see it through to a viable solution, and their employees actually seem empowered to take tangible steps to make their customers truly happy!

This is in part why I trust Everplans with copious amounts of my personal data. They are professional, transparent, and I ultimately don’t have any concerns about how they handle my personal information.

I absolutely feel secure in knowing that everything will be readily available to access, especially in an emergency. That could mean anything from accessing financial information for loan documents to getting life insurance and other necessary information if I ever become incapacitated. Having such a repository for your loved ones to easily access upon your passing will save them countless hours as everything that they could possibly need will be readily available in a neatly organized collection.

Everything that I mentioned is clearly worth the current $99.99 annual subscription fee, and I personally believe that it’s a very fair price for the peace of mind. Additionally, you could check out Nolo’s “Quicken WillMaker” product as their offering includes Everplans as part of their premium subscription bundle. If that’s of interest to you, you’ll need to refer to Nolo’s website for current “Quicken WillMaker” pricing as they include Everplans to round out their premium bundle. It’s a solid offering if you require basic estate planning and don’t mind taking the time to use Nolo’s product to prepare your will along with many other useful documents.

All said, I must give Everplans a solid five stars as anything less is definitely a major injustice for all of the reasons that I just finished mentioning! Whether getting Everplans as a standalone offering or looking into Nolo’s “Quicken WillMaker” bundle, you simply can’t go wrong. As I said when I first started writing this review, it’s truly a rare app that I have found invaluable and has become a de facto part of my estate planning strategy.

Lifesaver

After my dad passed away, we discovered a wealth of notes he had left for us, which significantly streamlined the process of organizing his estate.

Lacks full screen iPad version.

A full screen version on iPad would make this a 5 star rating.

Love the concept hate it on an iPad

The web version is great. Thought it would be nice to use on an iPad, but they don’t go full screen. If you are going to make it available it needs to be full screen. 5 stars for the web version.

One Big Problem

When using on an iPad you can only use an iPhone version that, even when enlarged, is very unprofessional looking. This is a very good app but the developer should make it fully appropriate for the tablet (iPad) version.
