Been playing for years!!
I love games like this and first discovered the great tournament back in 2017 or so, and adored it. I then found this game, and others by these developers and was so hooked. The imagery and emotion the writing brings is amazing. I played over and over back in 2017 to get every path, and redownloaded back in 2020 and now 2024 to do the same again. I love this game and highly suggest checking out other games by this developer!

Superb
I wasn’t expecting much when I downloaded this, maybe a fun but forgettable 5 or 6 out of 10 experience. Instead, I got a solid 9. The writing is excellent, conjuring vivid mental images of the people and places in the story. It strikes a perfect balance of immersion, making you feel like an active, impactful participant rather than a page-turning bystander or a gamer making up your own adventure. The developer did an excellent job of making you care about the characters and feel like you’re making a real difference in how things turn out. And while others have said the game is too short, I felt it was just the right length — and there are many more available from Choice of Games if you finish wanting more.
Don’t let the text only nature of this game scare you off; this is a beautifully designed and thoroughly enjoyable experience. If the premise sounds intriguing at all, don’t hesitate to download. You won’t be disappointed.

Captivatingly original
I couldn’t possibly recommend this enough. It is a completely enthralling story, with such genuinely tough choices along the way - I didn’t expect to be sitting, paralysed by indecision, over what to do in a text based choose your own adventure story - and with totally unforeseeable twists and turns to the plot. It manages to avoid some of the worst cliches of the genre while being familiarly fantastical. For the price of a coffee this is so worth it and infinitely more entertaining, and replayable!

Good fun
Reminds me of the choose your own adventure and Lone Wolf game books of my youth. Good stuff. As with all these games, I’d love a chance to have save points or the ability in some way to go back after a bad choice.

This is fairly short, but worth it. One particular appeal is the ability to define yourself in the story any way you wish - cisgender, transgender, non-binary, straight, gay, you name it, and that’s so refreshing. Between fun character building, a great mystery, and the potential for multiple relationships, this will cover pretty much anyone. Pick it up today!

A hard boiled detective fantasy tale
Wow! A great mytery that combines a detective story with an excellent fantasy story line. The best of the fine Hosted stories I’ve played.

This is one of the better stories i have ever read, it had incredible penmanship, minimal errors, and a plot line unlike any other. The ability to almost completely customized your person is incredible, and most likely one of a kind. If you have read stories like Magium, lily’s day off, and many others, I recommend this with the highest scores.

Amazing game.
This game was awesome! The characters felt so real, and the plot was engaging as well. I'm definitely going to follow this author for what else she/he writes. (maybe even a sequel? ;) )

I've read so many stories from Hosted Games and this one is definitely one of my favorites! I love the mystery, the characters, and the uniqueness of the story itself. Also, the effects of each choice has on the game play makes it feel all the more real. It so worth the read!

Fantastic game
Very interactive, the choices allow for you to choose your own destiny and there are many different endings you can choose. The customization is wonderful too. Love the mystery of it.
Losing faith
While well written, I feel like I have been cheated out of my money. I bought it thinking I would get a murder mystery situation. I was right: until about halfway through where most of the stats I had tried hard to build up were revealed to be worth nothing, including my relationships with some of the characters.
I try not to spoil it if you do want to read this game, but the fantasy/detective novel this claims to be doesn't exist.
