I learned about this game from an anime and I love it!

Events stuck on loading

Anytime I click events it gets stuck on loading screen

Love this game, but support never responds!

Such a bummer.

Cool pool

The first time I played it was a lot like chess and I like it more than anything also, I like chess too.😀♟️

I really like this game. One problem that is a deal breaker

I like this game, my problem is with hard stage 63. I have tried every possible iteration (took multiple hours) and it is not possible to earn the third star by completing in under 7 moves.
I am a perfectionist with puzzle games like this. I need to have all puzzles completed perfectly.
I have emailed support multiple times to inform them of the issue, but have not heard back. Hoping leaving a bad review will get their attention so I can get my last star….

Fundamentally this issue concerns me because it means I cannot necessarily trust that the benchmark for earning stars is possible, thus I don’t want to keep banging my head against a wall trying to perfect the puzzle, when it isn’t even possible. It makes me want to quit now so I don’t burn the time =[

This is a polished game with a lot of potential, and I’d like to get into it more. Two things holding it back are lots of unskippable animations that slow that game down a lot, and no good way to tell what the captured pieces are. I guess I could memorize the Kanji characters for each piece, but it would be a LOT more accessible if there was an option to replace those with “P”, “B”, “R”, etc. instead. Right now I’m just picking captured pieces blindly and then trying to make the best of it once they are on the game board.

Hard to recognize pieces

Unclear how each piece translates to the standard pieces you know

Too slow

Slow animations, even at 2x speed. Poor ui forcing unnecessary waits. Enemy has no pieces? You still have to wait for the “enemy skipped their turn” dialogue to pop up, then click ok, then wait for the animation to disappear before you can continue.

The kicker was a level where I had to stall with my king for 5 moves before a trap took out all of the enemies to show me how the trap worked. This game might be great for toddlers, but to me it just feels like they programmed the game to eat as much of your time as possible to juice metrics or payouts.

Was enjoying it then...

I was enjoying this app as a way to learn a new board game. The interface requires the user to slow down and the difficulty level increases very slowly. Really good for people without a lot of experience in strategy. I kept wanting to look up each piece's properties because it is a lot to learn, but did not find a reference page.

However, the app stopped working after I played one of the events. Now I can open the app but it takes a long time to load a game, saved or new, and then nothing responds to touch so I cannot play.

Certain puzzle objects unattainable

Need to fix unsolvable objects

Level 63 of hard mode is impossible to get 3 stars

it requires to finish level in only 7 moves. but the king‘s move is limited and you can‘t defeat any piece in the first 5 moves

Overall pretty great

It’s a pretty game with interesting mechanics and some pretty tough puzzles. The one thing that I really don’t like is the “advice” tool within those puzzles is based on the best overall move, but doesn’t help solve most of the puzzle criteria. The recent update to improve game pace is very beneficial, playing on base speed was very frustrating when you were stuck on a puzzle and the faster options are great.

Is there shogi in here somewhere?

I love Shogi, and when this popped up, I thought it was going to be a pretty way to play it… but instead it’s a long slog of puzzles so simple that I was falling asleep playing through them (in the hopes that there are some interesting ones eventually). As others have said, the animations need to be sped up, or even allow us to turn them off entirely, and it might be worth seeing how difficult it gets down the road… but in the mean time, I’ll just pass.

Animation time ruined the game for me.

I’d like this game a lot more if I could speed up animation time. I don’t need the computer to “think” and I don’t need to “confirm” that the opponents move was skipped. It’s a beautiful game but please let me play faster.

Impossible

The third level in the strong event is impossible to do but I still like Everybody Shogi

Y did u make the event hard???

I love that game ,like chess but in Japan But your strong dog event was impossible and I’m on 3! Chang that level or I Chang my review to a 2

Difficult Events

The game is fun and simple story has felt like a breeze but these current events some of the missions and criteria to get 3 stars are infuriating, guess I’m not the best shogi player but I literally cannot figure out how to beat some of the missions let alone get 3 stars. I’ll us the info feature which even the AI cannot think of ways to beat the computer in some of these missions it’s fun bus some of these events feel impossible and it makes you just wanna stop playing all together and play regular shogi instead of these weird mini maps where you’re placed in losing situation. Not that I want it easy but feel like the devs make missions but haven’t tried to actually beat them themselves. Idk guess it’s a skill issue but makes me wanna step away from the game.
