This app has completely replaced my physical remote. Setup was quick and it paired with my TV in seconds. I love that I can control volume, channels, and inputs right from my phone, and it even works when the TV is across the room. No lag, no dropped connection, no ads getting in the way. Losing my remote constantly, this came very handy and is easy to use.
Handy replacement for the remote I keep losing
I downloaded this after misplacing my actual remote for the third time, and it's saved me more than once. Setup was quick — it found my TV on the same Wi-Fi in a few seconds and paired without any fuss. The button layout is clean and mirrors a real remote, so there was basically no learning curve. Volume, channels, power, and app shortcuts all work reliably, and the touchpad for navigating menus feels smoother than jabbing at directional buttons.
A few gripes keep it from five stars. There are more ads than I'd like on the free version, and a couple of the genuinely useful features (like custom button layouts and casting) sit behind a subscription. I also get the occasional half-second of lag when the phone has been idle and has to reconnect. Nothing dealbreaking, but noticeable.
Overall it does exactly what it promises. If you're constantly hunting for your remote or juggling several devices, it's worth the download — just be ready to decide whether the premium tier is worth it for you.
