User reviews

Crashes within 2 minutes of opening on Macos Ventura

Completely unusable. Crashes after 2 minutes every time.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear that cologuppy. You can send me a file that is crashing the App and I will try my best to solve this specific issue.

Works, but has serious performance and usability issues.

I just want to filter to events matching a specific eventID. Yet the tool has only one search field and seems to try to search all the data for each event in trying to find matches.

This results in searches that run far too long for what I have patience for. All I want to do is simply filter on one attibute of the event (eventID), I don't want that search to run against all the other text and data.

I should also be able to filter events within a certain time range, so that it doesn't search all events outside the time range I care about.

Had issues but developer is very reponsive

Yes, it is true that EVTX Reader crashed when I tried to open a couple of evtx files, but instead of slapping a bad review I contacted the developer and he fixed the issue in a day and released the update. If you encounter the problem please do the same and we'll all be better off. :)
