Helpful but impractical
Herculaneum is a terrific site, smaller than Pompeii, and accessible without a guide and with this app. However, as others have noted, the inability to do anything else with the phone - put it to sleep, take a picture, check a map - while listening is endlessly frustrating. Worth $3? Sure. And if that issue ever gets fixed, it'll be worth five stars, too.

Tour download hangs indefinitely. App is useless without it.
Promising
This app has promise but one big problem. The narrations are fine (too much gilding the lily though like no need for dramatic sound effects please, just give us the facts). The major problem is that if you switch apps or the phone goes to sleep, the narration stops. Want to take pictures while learning about the site? Nope. Can’t do two things at once. Pompeii’s guide is able to do this (without the flourishes in the narration) no problem (although it is 4x the price).
