Love the app except one thing
I really love this app except it’s simple and clean. Easy to capture text. Exporting into a pdf is, again, easy.
But I have one major complain. When capturing, the options are at the top of the screen. Which means you can’t just hold your phone with one hand. You have to move your hand to a different potion to hold the phone to then make the selection.
All the options to capture text and add page numbers etc should be at the bottom of the screen. So when you’re reading a book you can just grab your phone and not have to contort your hand around. We should also have the option of having the options to capture on the left or right side or middle.
Make this changes and it’s a fantastic app for capturing info from physical books.

To be transparent, I just started using this app. I am doing some research and wanted a way to capture various pieces of info and texts from various digital sources. This app is superb and has allowed me to do EXACTLY what I wanted to do. Bravo developers!!
This app has let me create my own “books” with a “title” and “author”. I created a new book for each of the research sources I am using. Once you are in the book, you can add a “note,” “image,” “manual text” or “page number.” If you enter a “page number,” it will allow you to enter a “section” of that page and then follow that up with a note or image.
The best part is it’s all free! I’ve created 16 books so far and entered several notes. If I could make only one suggestion, it would be to allow the ability to change the “sections” to custom categories instead only having the options in the drop down menu to choose from. Other than that great, excellent job!!
And may I just say, THANK YOU for your commitment to creating a helpful and easy-to-use product. It is so unbelievably refreshing to come across an app that is clearly not driven by monitory motives. The full access to your features and the lack of annoying ads interrupting my work every 3 minutes was a welcomed and refreshing change!! Again, BRAVO!!

As a person who jumps from book to book just for those really good points…
I love using this app to make a book list as well and take excerpts from books once I’ve finally read them! The text excerpt does an incredible job and the design of the app is just fantastic. It feels clean and organized and all of the colors are aweeesome. It is a great way to keep your highlights organized while skimming through multiple books a week!

This app solves so many problems for me. I have often used tools like dragon dictate to take notes from books, however either the ease of a camera this app quickly takes notes and allows me to store page numbers and comments. This is absolutely a life changing app for researchers.

just what i was looking for
have only been using this for an hour but it's exactly what i needed and works great. it took me no time at all to get started- setting up my first book was straightforward and intuitive, and the text recognition is very accurate. i'm currently making a database of all of the flower essences i have in my collection. i tried some other OCR/scanner apps and kept running into the same issue, namely, each time i highlighted a new item, it wanted to save it as it's own unique file; this one still allows me to view each one individually but it groups them by book and displays them together. anyway so far so good =)
