Noticing an expiration date on the day it expires is often too late. A passport may need months of remaining validity before a trip, a driver's license can only be renewed inside a set window, and a vehicle inspection can be done before the due date. Expiday calculates the date in front of the deadline: the day it may be time to start. ◆ Enter one expiration date Pick a document type, enter its expiration date, and the lead time for that type sets an action date. Defaults are 180 days for passports, 90 for visas and ID cards, 60 for driver's licenses and certifications, 30 for vehicle inspections, insurance and credit cards, and 14 for memberships and passes. Any lead time can be edited from 1 to 730 days. ◆ Ordered by when to act, not when it expires The list is sorted by the calculated action date rather than the expiration date, so an item whose action date has arrived rises above one that expires sooner. A countdown ring and four bands (Plenty, Soon, Action needed, Expired) show which document to handle now. ◆ Roll forward after renewing When the paperwork is done, choose "I've renewed it" in the detail view. Expiday proposes the next expiration date using the same span as before — or one year, when that span was shorter — so you confirm a date instead of re-creating the record. ◆ Three reminder moments Per document, you can switch on local notifications for the action date, 14 days before expiration, and the expiration date. Colors and remaining days keep working with notifications off. Notifications are the only system permission Expiday asks for. ◆ Dates and names, nothing more A record holds a name, type, expiration date, lead time, and an optional note. There is no feature that stores document images or document numbers, and no field to enter them. Records stay on the device, with no account and no server sync.
