Easy Charging

The Exploren app does exactly what it promises. It connects seamlessly to its charging network, tracks your data accurately, and handles payments securely. Design is functional but its reliability makes it a good download for Australian EV road trips or top ups around the city.

Load Management System

I really love how the app shows me the energy management stats during fleet charging.

Another unnecessary EV charging app

Exploren is a perfect example of what is wrong with public EV charging in Australia. Nobody wants to download yet another single-network charging app just to use a charger.

Chargefox RFID cards and roaming should be supported as standard. Forcing drivers to create another account, install another app, add another payment method, and deal with yet another interface is poor user experience and completely unnecessary.

EV charging should be simple: plug in, tap an RFID card or card payment, and charge. Instead, Exploren adds more friction to an already fragmented charging network.

Stop making EV drivers collect apps like Pokémon. Accept Chargefox RFID cards, enable proper roaming, or offer simple card payment at the charger.

Missing exit button

There is no way to exit to Map again after pressing three horizontal bars menu icon. Does someone check the iOS app and see if it’s working properly?

Terrible

Where to start. Everything about this app is difficult. We say in a cafe for a hour watching the app say it was charging only to get back and find that no charge had taken place. In the help section on the app, could not get out of it. Could not get any information on what charging had supposedly taken place. Terrible app!

In able to open app.,

Having used app for months a few days ago I was unable to open app. I’ll use other charging systems.

Broken

Forced he to update app now doesn’t work. Bring on card payments. Useless apps are pain.

Logging into the app!

Needs to be more user friendly when logging into app such as passcode takes longer to log into the app than charging the car!!

App stuck on ending

App stuck on ending indefinitely

Overall app improved past update of the UI

Minor improvement that can be implemented is the replacement of the generic image of a swasticar showing in the charging session screen with something Elon-free:) lots of better options these days:)

Too expensive.

60c KWh is ridiculous

Expensive slow chargers.

No idea how this brand is alive. The Tesla chargers are 3 times faster and less than half the price.

Seriously Exploren is a joke

Payment doesn’t work

I’ve tried 3 cards and payment will not work. I now can’t start any new charging sessions.

Bad UI

The new design is just terrible to use. Bad font and too big. Why purple and green? Great for colour blind people.

Who signed off on this?

Account credit unable to be used

Latest version has broken using existing account credit to establish and pay for a charging session. You must have a credit card linked to the account and there is no option to pay with the account credit or set it as a default payment method.

Lots of Chargers

I’m starting to see a lot of these chargers around where I live and I especially like using the fast charger at my local Bunnings. So I’m glad this app is easy to set up and use.

QR code does not work

When i try to scan the qr code shown on the screen i get error.

Charges double

Instead of advertised prices charges double. Invoice shows time during different pricing band, and charged wrong.

Overpriced and slow

Use literally any other company

Works as advertised but UX could be simpler

Supporting Apple ID and/or Apple Pay would be a great improvement.

When you’re in Grafton, with dodgy internet access, the last thing you want to do is muck around with emails and passwords.

Guest charging with Apple Pay would be excellent. Failing that, Apple ID would also help.
