Hello saeculum, it is a single user version for a quick and independent game you could even play offline. We made the score compareable between the differmet colours. Playing the "red" games is the same as plaing it "together", and the score is compareable througout the week. If you want real multiplayer, try our online portal at brettspielwelt.de
Very good but a couple bugs
After playing a few times I’m updating my review a bit. The original review is below, and I still stand by it and recommend this game, but there are a couple bugs:
(1) The horse doesn’t work properly. You’re supposed to be able to use his special move, plus your regular moves. This isn’t happening. Once you use his move, your turn ends without being able to use your remaining moves. This makes the horse more of a deficit than a benefit.
(2) Every single time I use a map, it gives me the same card I already have. Every time. It still gives me the extra 4th move, but drawing the same card you have every time makes the maps virtually pointless.
Other than that, which I hope those things get fixed, this is a good game.

Thank you developer for doing such a great job making this game, and for monetizing it fairly with no ads or IAP. I appreciate the good data policy, and the small file size. It’s also good on battery. I really appreciate that it’s in portrait mode too! I tend to go to portrait games more because it’s easier to hold your phone that way. Much appreciated! I had never played the physical board game. But the rules and tutorial here are complete and teach you everything you need to know. It’s easy to learn, and it’s relaxing to play on a work break, and it’s strategic enough to hold your interest. It’s so hard to find good solo games. I’m so glad I found this one! There were a couple minor glitches during the tutorial game (I couldn’t click on one of the dialogue boxes, so I had yo restart the app, but then it was fine; and at the end of the game I had to double click the back button to exit). Other than that the game plays and scores like it’s supposed to. So I’m happy. I love the design, everything looks really nice, and it is intuitive. It’s just really enjoyable to play a game when you have 5-10 minutes. You did everything right here developer, thank you!

Fun, but has bugs
Great game, but has 2 obvious bugs. 1. When there is remaining movement spaces, if the user picks a Horse, all remaining movement is erased and never gets to be taken (Horse should immediately allow a single movement onto any terrain space and then allow remaining movement). 2. surrounding the Villages is not getting counted at all in scoring on yellow or red competitive modes. I have surrounded orthogonally and completely and 9 out of 10 times it gets counted as zero points. This is a point loss of 26 points for 3 Villages, so it is a huge bug to have. On brand new iphone with latest OS. Please fix.

Good implementation marred by broken login
The game itself is excellent— I expect nothing less from Phil Walker-Harding. Unfortunately most of the game is inaccessible because of a broken login system. I tried using my email address registered with other BSW games, and it always says “can’t find email”. Same goes for my player name.
All of their apps have a really confusing login system but this is the first that won’t take my email, and won’t let you try again without force-killing the app.

Great game, hard to find
This is a fantastic game, very clever and lots of replay-ability. Board gamers will enjoy this but it is really challenging to find when searching in the App Store. I presume the previously mentioned bugs have been fixed as I’ve played a number of games and they’ve all been great!

Wie schon bei einer anderen Bewertung zu lesen war, funktionieren einige Nahrungsfelder nicht!
Es ist nicht möglich auf diese Felder zu kommen obwohl die Richtige Farbe angewählt ist.

Great Flip and Write!
This is a great flip and write game, and a great adaptation of that game. My only complaint is that it’s not immediately clear that there are more than three goals, and that you have to scroll to see them.
Tolle Umsetzung des Brettspiels
Ein tolles Spiel und da es sehr solitär ist, ist die App-Version auch deutlich stärker, als das ursprüngliche Brettspiel, was parallel erschienen ist. Es macht viel Spaß. Meine Frau spielt es noch häufiger als ich.
Die App hat auch noch nie Probleme bereitet, die Kritik hierzu kann ich nicht bestätigen.

Nettes Solo-Spiel mit deutscher Sprache
Eine grundsätzlich gute Umsetzung des Brettspiels. Leider konnte ich nur eine Solo-Partie als Spielmöglichkeit entdecken. Das hätte man gern in die Beschreibung aufnehmen können. Ebenso, dass es ein deutsches Tutorial gibt. Ansonsten ist das Spiel sprachneutral. Ich fände eine Pass‘n‘Play Option schön, dann gibt es auch 5 Sterne.

Ok but only ok
I would love to play this game more. To explore it. The lack of an undo button makes the game frustrating. I click by mistake and … crap. Maybe it is an interesting flip’n’write, but I don’t care to find out.
Schöne Umsetzung - aber fehlerhaft
Es ist mir nie möglich Äpfel , Möhren oder Fische einzusammeln. Die Felder scheinen blockiert.
Has potential … but buggy
Not a bad game but ruined by serious bugs at the moment. Had to kill the app and restart my first game because it got into a state where I had completed my allowed moves but it thought I should keep exploring, with no valid spaces.
Now I’ve completed my first game and it’s stuck in a ‘you have an unfinished game’ state and I can’t start a new one. It just keeps showing me the score sheet for the previous game.
