About

Extra Credit is four math games in one app: The Long Winter, Pushback, Sumhaven and Bloom. Pick a game on the first screen and play. In every game, the way forward is a math question, and right answers help you win. THE MATH: COMMON CORE, KINDERGARTEN TO 5TH GRADE Pick a grade and the first questions find your level. Levels open as fluency grows, or a parent or teacher chooses the question types for each student. When an answer is wrong, a picture shows how the problem works, such as a number line or a row of dots, and then you try again. Facts a child misses come back soon, so the practice goes where it is needed. A progress page shows which facts are solid and which still need work. The practice is aligned to the Common Core standards, and the progress page names the standard for each topic. THE LONG WINTER AND PUSHBACK: SNOWBALL SHOWDOWNS WITH MATH BREAKS Lead a team of snowmen in blue scarves in a giant snowball showdown. Slide your snowman launcher, send your snowmen through the gates and push the Red snowmen back across the snowy field. Every so often the match stops for a math break: a few math problems, one at a time. Right answers power up your snowmen for a while and bring a few more. - The Long Winter: a 100-level campaign across ten snowy chapters, each with a boss at the end; the bosses are big furry yetis. - Pushback: a snowball team game. Run the neon road, knock back the wobbly jelly Gloop and meet a big boss at the end of every world. - Gear Shed: spend coins on upgrades. In Pushback, find nine snow throwers, from the Snow Scoop to the Snow Blower. SUMHAVEN: BUILD A CITY, HATCH CREATURES Every right answer sets a block in a little harbor city. Build a bakery, a clock tower or a castle. Right answers also warm eggs, and every egg hatches a one-of-a-kind creature that moves into town and works in the buildings. Collect them in the Book, help them grow, and make friends with the wild creatures that sail in by boat. Later you can sail to new islands, Frostfin Cove and Coral Atoll, by answering math questions. Each island starts a new town with its own buildings and its own creatures. BLOOM: GROW A GARDEN Your little Sprout tree sits in a sunny garden while Gloomies drift in. Its petals turn each Gloomy into a flower that stays, and the music grows with every bloom. When the Sun meter fills, three math questions come up. Answer them, then pick a gift that makes your Sprout stronger. Right answers also fill a ring around your Sprout for a big burst of flowers. A miss never ends the game: you see how it works, try once more, and your Sprout still gets a gift. When it gets sleepy it takes a nap, and you see the garden you grew. FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS Parents and teachers can sign in at extracreditmath.org with an Extra Credit account. The app has one save code on its Parents and Teachers page. Add the code on the website to see which facts your child knows and to set the math from your own phone or computer. The save is backed up there, so a new phone can pick up where the old one left off. The account is free to start, and free for verified teachers forever. CLASSES FOR TEACHERS extracreditmath.org is free for verified teachers. Make a class, set up classroom tablets with one class code, and print picture cards. Each student taps their name and two secret pictures to sign in. Students joining from home use the family code. FOR FAMILIES - No ads - No in-app purchases: nothing in the games is for sale - No account or sign-in needed to play - Plays offline; the save backs up to your Extra Credit account when the phone is online - Gentle cartoons with no blood: the showdown is snowmen against snowmen, and a snowman who is knocked out pops into a puff of snow. In Bloom, nothing is hurt: Gloomies turn into flowers. Questions or ideas: support@choordinator.com

What's New in Extra Credit

1.2.16

November 6, 2026

Bloom: past wave 25, wrong answers and quick guesses make the storm stronger. The Long Winter: every match now has a time limit, so it always ends. Rounding questions now say "35 rounded to the nearest 10". Division questions now need the whole problem worked out. Typing an answer shows its shape first, like ? R ? for a remainder, and a wrong typed answer is shown under "You typed". A parent who connects later now sees the months played before, not just the last few weeks. Small fixes.
