What's New in EXTRA SAFE

3.1.0

October 12, 2026

The updated EXTRA SAFE is live. One address enables three accounts — public, smart, and private — activated together in the Wallet tab. - Gas settles in the same stablecoin you send. - Private Tokens on Avalanche protect your balance and the amount you transfer. - Send anywhere — in chat, to a contact by name, EXTRA SAFE number, or QR code, or to any external wallet or exchange from the Wallet tab. - Wallet setup in seconds — PIN and biometrics, a 12-word recovery phrase. - Encrypted backup — an optional, encrypted second copy of your recovery phrase, so you're never locked out. - Gift links — create, fund, share, and claim. - Sharper chats — link previews, media blur previews and video thumbnails, image zoom, uploads up to 50 MB. - Share to EXTRA SAFE — send images, files, links, and text from any app straight to a chat. Plus dozens of fixes across send, receive, and deposit flows.

FAQ

What does EXTRA SAFE do?

EXTRA SAFE is a private messaging app that provides secure, end-to-end encrypted chats and anonymous P2P voice and video calls. It is designed with privacy at its core, featuring identity-free setup and self-destructing messages by default.

How does the encryption work?

All messages, files, and images are protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). Cryptographic keys are generated locally on your devices, ensuring that only you and your contact can see the content. This process is similar to how key pairs function in blockchain technologies.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the application is available for free. It does not have in-app purchases or advertisements, allowing for an uninterrupted and private communication experience.

Who is this app for?

This app is ideal for anyone who prioritizes secure messaging, private chats, and encrypted calls. It's designed for users who want to communicate without sharing personal data or relying on centralized servers.

Can I make video calls with this app?

Yes, you can make secure private voice and video calls using a direct P2P connection. The app also supports private P2P video meetings with up to 5 people, and participants can join via a link even without the app installed.
