Amazing app and very good for beginners doing there bahmkitzvah and for learning Hebrew

Excellent program!

I have taught students from ages from 9 to 86 how to read Hebrew using this program. It makes learning to reading effortless. Highly recommend!!

A Must Have

This app was essential for getting my two kids to finally read independently in Hebrew (without a fight every time)! Interactive, easy to navigate, and effective.

App does not work AT ALL on Mac

I got to the first letter. App does not proceed. DO NOT BUY.

Response from developer

Hi! The app comes locked. So you cannot proceed without completing certain activities on each page. However, there is an option to “Unlock All Activities” in the settings menu. Feel free to email us at eyal@eyalapp.com if you would like us to walk you through how everything works!

Effective and useful

This app makes it possible to learn just Hebrew reading, not vocabulary. This made a big difference for my grandchildren who used the app, and helped them feel more confident with all their Judaic studies. It’s fun to use. I like it that the whole thing has a light hearted feel, but because there are no pictures, it can be used by learners of any age.

FAQ

What is Eyal and how does it teach Hebrew reading?

Eyal is an app that teaches Hebrew reading using a phonetic decoding method, which is a time-tested approach. It breaks down learning into two steps: first mastering consonants with the 'a' vowel, then learning the remaining vowels one by one. This systematic approach helps users build reading skills effectively.

What kind of activities does Eyal offer?

Eyal provides 10 interactive activity types designed to reinforce learning. These include letter differentiation, reading practice, writing exercises, matching games, and word searches. The activities are mixed and matched within study units to keep the learning process engaging and varied.

Is Eyal suitable for different age groups and learning needs?

Yes, Eyal is designed for learners aged 5 to 98, making it appropriate for children, adults, and seniors. It also includes modifications for students with learning difficulties and offers a more straightforward approach for adults who prefer it. The app can be used for self-study, in classrooms, or as supplemental learning.

How does the subscription work for Eyal?

Eyal is a subscription-based app. Upon purchase, your iTunes account will be charged, and your subscription will automatically renew within 24 hours of the end of the current period. The subscription grants access to all current and future content and features.

Can Eyal be used without an internet connection?

Yes, Eyal can be used offline, especially in a classroom setting. Student work is saved directly to the iPad, so an internet connection is not required for the app to function or for progress to be tracked.
