Not useful, fee farming

They are clearly just farming subscriptions. The clarity test text is so large it tests nothing. You can make it smaller without subscription. The free version has no value. It just flipping large text n front of you that a blind person can see.

AI-based AND completely useless

When you start the ONE free test, they show you an AI-generated picture of vision test poster. The instructions say to read each letter from a “normal reading distance.” Unfortunately, there is nothing to input them into, so they are completely useless. Not only that, but because these are AI-generated, some of the letters aren’t real. They are smudged blobs of what the AI thinks letters might look like. You click the “next” button and they show you another AI-generated vision test with fake letters. Unbelievable.

AI generated mess

The letter distance tests were obviously generated by early AI and therefore combines some letters, turns them upside down, and adds numbers in the rows. So either way it’s based on how similar to a certain letter someone thinks it is rather than strictly for eye sight testing. For reference, every time I do normal eye sight tests, I have better than 20/20.

Lost $2.99 plus tax I assume

Only way to try desired tests was to subscribe so I went with the minimum 7 day. Couldn’t get a refund from Apple.
Even the ‘free’ test was useless. Rows of letters weren’t decipherable with normal vision due to cryptic lettering.
