Geniatech’s support is terrible.
I stumbled across the DTV Netstream.
I have a n Eyetv Netstream 2T.
It’s not listed as a compatible device but works fine with the new app

Sadly a great app is now unusable
This was our go-to method of watching TV. On an iPad. Really.
Sadly now it has compulsory audio narrative like the new 64 bit EyeTV app for Mac. Both are completely useless.

Broken in iOS 15
Guys, any updates. App can’t see Netstream device on network. It’s been broken since iOS 14 (and we’re now on iOS 15). Common let’s have some updates!
Doesn’t work with IOS 14.6
This version of the app (2.87) still runs on IPad with IOS 9.3.6 & Iphone with IOS 10.3.4. It does not run on IPad or Iphone with IOS14.6. Support for the App seems non-existent, despite claiming “Fixed known issues” “one month ago” in the App Store download page.
No longer working
After the latest update, the app no longer recognizes my Netstream DTT. If Geniatech’s “support” for their desktop software is anything to go by, I don’t expect a fix in the near future…

Latest update 2.87 broken on all devices except appletv.
From good to not
The latest update to 2.90 has completely broken compatibility with my Elgato Netstream. Suggest that you don’t install this until someone else has confirmed that the issue is local to me.
The new version fails to see the netstream on our network whilst EyeTV on the Mac continues to function correctly. Sadly I can’t see a way to revert this change.
Disappointed because this was an app we all used daily. Perhaps someone from Geniatech can get in touch once they’ve fixed this…

Unfortunately app is now broken, used to work though
Cannot scan for channels, as app always complains that tuner is currently in use by others (even if it definitely isn’t). Unfortunate, because this app used to be so useful.
Does what it promises
This app is fine. It gives you live tv on your IOS device and allows you to record the current program (time shift).
It does not allow you to record from the guide and it does not allow you to delete duplicate channels. There seems to be no use for the two channel tuner on IOS.
It means I can use my old Netstream DTT (which has sat in a cupboard for years) as an IOS TV tuner independently of the Mac.
The Netstream still works on the Mac with the included EyeTV software.
It does not allow you to record from the guide and it does not allow you to delete duplicate channels. There seems to be no use for the two channel tuner on IOS.
It means I can use my old Netstream DTT (which has sat in a cupboard for years) as an IOS TV tuner independently of the Mac.

Sound but no video on iOS 13
As ozcuddlah said, this application is broken under iOS 13. There is sound but no picture. I expect a similar fate awaits this application suite when macOS Catalina is released. 😞
Death of EyeTV
I've been using EyeTV for many years. Now the developers have abandoned and it's a useless piece of hardware sitting in my house. When you go to Geniatech's website your ignored. The death of EyeTV in the USA. Who is responsible for this?

Not sure what Geniatech have been doing. But the latest update introduced a number of bugs which did not exist in previous versions, namely:
- fast switching by clicking on the channel icon in the lower left corner does not work anymore
- If you decide to watch a programme and then change channels by swiping left or right, the channel information viewable by clicking the (i) will still display the one from the original channel
These were functionalities which worked flawlessly for years. I am not why Geniatech decided to make a good app worse.

Still doesn't work in Canada please don't waste your money like I did.
Great for watching TV around the house
This is a great app for watching TV around the house, no issues streaming around the WiFi network.
Would benefit from being able to use the PIP mode on the iPad though.

Terrible update...
This app was working fine, since the update it now goes to a black screen with only sound working. No way to exit the screen apart from swiping which then changes the channel, and you then have to go back to square one and search through the channels... Hope this is a one off aberration...
Who Needs Wires?
When my wired entertainment network failed, Elgato's EyeTV and this App solved the problem cheaply and simply. I can carry my iPad around the house and watch TV while doing other stuff or AirPlay to an Apple TV.
Good but could be better
Could do with an Apple TV version of this software.
Using it the UK with Freesat. This app has problems with lip sync, but I don't have such problems with the iOS EyeTV app.
Also, disappointed that the guide only provides now and next, not the 7 day guide available from Freesat.

Crapola
Rubbish app, rubbish product. Doesn't always find the netstream DTT and when it does it displays that it is in use by another device... Which is the device I'm using, my iPad! Also, my unit often overheats and I have to switch it off and back on, really annoying in summer when It fails and I miss a recoded program. I'm soooo over this stuff.
