ENGINEERING MODE
Five keypad pages, from everyday arithmetic to graduate maths:
• Functions: x^y, square and cube roots, nth root, |x|, n!, e^x, ln, log, log2, mod, floor, ceil
• Trigonometry: sin/cos/tan, inverse, hyperbolic and inverse hyperbolic, degrees or radians
• Discrete: permutations nPr, combinations nCr, GCD, LCM, AND/OR/XOR/NOT, bit shifts
• Analysis: series, products, derivative d/dx, definite integral, mean, median, standard deviation, variance
• Constants: pi, tau, e, phi, plus 15 physical constants including the speed of light, the gravitational constant, Planck's constant and Avogadro's number
Derivatives use central differences and integrals use adaptive Simpson quadrature, not lookup approximations. Bitwise work shows hexadecimal, octal and binary side by side, with two's complement for negative numbers. Memory keys M+, M-, MR, MC and cursor keys let you go back and edit a long expression instead of retyping it.
Expressions honour parentheses and operator precedence, and the result previews as you type, so you rarely need the equals key.
UNIT CONVERSION
224 units across 15 categories: length, weight, volume, area, speed, time, temperature, pressure, power, energy, data, density, angle, force and electricity. Temperature uses the correct formulas rather than a scaled ratio.
CURRENCY CONVERSION
166 currencies, updated daily. See one amount in several currencies at once, and type an expression straight into the amount field. Rates are stored on the device, so it keeps working offline.
