Great Program
I’ve been doing celestial navigation for 3 1/2 years now and I’ve used his annual nautical almanac every year. I bought then for $10 and I love them. A month ago I bought this program and it’s so easy to use.
If I head out to sea I’m able to print up the pages that I need for the time I’ll be gone. I might even make it back up copy and keep it in someplace very very dry.
If you are new to celestial navigation and want to practice but don’t have a horizon you could build a celestial navigation platform and on three adjustable bolts you can set up a mirror. Level up with an accurate level and then when you use the stars at night you’re able to adjust it even more to a great fine-tuning. During the day you can flip the mirror upside down and slowly pour water on it and you get about a 16th of an inch water mirror which works very very accurately.
I’ve taken literally thousands of shots at the sun moon stars and planets. The moon for me still is a bit sketchy but the stars planets and sun have given me a lot of joy since June of 2021. The guy who put this together did great job.
