Deleted it after five minutes
I just wanted to use it for one photo that had a beautiful image of my daughter, but the background needed to be blurred out. The app selected her face but was unable to accurately select her hair. I tried to modify the selection with the tools provided but could not come close to getting an acceptable result. Four bucks wasted.

Don’t waste your money
Mentioned it’ll detect faces and blur backgrounds but I clearly don’t have a face to detect as it blurred half of my face and not the background!! worst 3.99 spent, deleted in about 30 seconds
What happened??
After the last update I have NO idea how to make the background blur happen. There are no instructions and they changed the process. Good god. I can’t do anything. I shouldn’t have to hurt myself figuring it out. Why didn’t you leave the app alone!!
Using since its release
Fab Focus has just amazingly improved over the years. In 2016, it set a benchmark by providing bokeh effect to non-dual camera iphone esp. iphone 6s plus. It was phenomenal in those days. And now it has again set a benchmark by allowing users to capture Google Pixel style portrait bokeh i.e. amazing sharpness n detail. It just burns the native iphone camera app and other apps like Pro-Cam, ProCamera, Halide, PS Camera etc. in terms of portraits.
Now on my iphone Xs Max, XR and iPad Pro 3rd gen , it works like charm. Thank you developers 😊😊

Inconsistency
I’m afraid that I’m not happy with this app. In the pictures that I’ve try to blur the background, it blurred most of the background but left spots that were not blurred. There were also pictures that it made people’s hair look funky.
Used to work before update.
I used to love this app. Then it received an update, and now it’s so buggy I literally cannot use it.
Old Version Please
Is there any way to get the older version back? I really liked it a lot better than this upgrade.
Newest changes
I preferred the app before, when you could adjust the level of blurriness for the background, and you could discard changes easily. Now I have two pictures that I cannot change back to original:(.
Great app for those who don’t have “portrait mode”
Update: I don’t know what they did with this most recent update, but the app is no longer worth it. The blurring is harsh and the feathering option is gone. Such a shame - it was a great app.
I was really upset when I found out that the iPhone 8 not had portrait mode in the Plus version as I find the Plus phones too large. Then I discovered this app which is just as good, and no longer makes me want to chuck my phone out the window!
And while it’s tru what other reviewers have said (that the AI isn’t as good as recognizing bodies or non-human faces), I found the outline function to be super easy and quick to use so this apparent deficiency doesn’t really bother me.

Blurs everything
This app randomly blurs thing in the photo ( like half of a persons head). Then when you try to fix it manually ( which is a pain ) it doesn’t save your work...so you have to start all over. Can’t believe I payed for this app!
What happened?!
The newest update has made the app almost unusable. The blur effect has such a crisp definition against the rest of the photo that it looks ridiculous. I used to LOVE this app, hopefully they revert back or update again with a user experience closer to what it used to be.

Far less control over the cursor, bokeh effects are too extreme... what happened here???
App Doesn’t Work, Junk
Take a photo inside the app and nothing happens. Press Auto and nothing happens. After this latest update in March, the app is trash. Avoid it.

This last update made the app significantly harder to use by removing the cursor circle and the app went from being great to very terrible. The purple highlight is much harder to see than the bright green highlight.

Must share feature sucks
The tool itself is crude but workable. The must share (or it deletes itself) feature is shameless promotion and sucks.
Great little tool
Have used it for several months and find it to be on of a few really useful little tools. Does just one thing, and does it very well.
