About
Backgammon has always been half argument. Facegammon is the half every other app leaves out.
See the face across the board. A live video call runs for the length of the match, so you are not playing an account — you are playing a person. The double offered with a shrug, the pause before it is taken, the face when the six they needed actually comes up.
IT OPENS ITSELF
Leave video on and the call is already running when the match starts — no frame to tap, nothing to accept. The clock and the dice wait until both pictures are up, so nobody loses a turn to a camera that took its time. The first call every day is free.
SIX TABLES, ONE DECISION
Choosing a table and choosing an opponent are the same choice. Pick your stake, from 25 coins up to 800 at Diamond. Whether a person or the Facegammon AI sits opposite, the ladder, the level gate and the price of the seat are identical — so your coins mean the same thing wherever you spend them.
MATCHED IN SECONDS
Queue at your stake and the lobby seats you against whoever is waiting. Nobody about? The AI takes the chair at the same price, and the table pays out your win.
THE FULL RULES
Hitting, the bar, bearing off, gammons, backgammons and the doubling cube — all of it, on a turn clock, with a pot that grows every time somebody reaches for the cube.

ABOUT VIDEO
Video is between the two of you. It runs on Facegammon's own server rather than a third party's, it is never recorded or stored, and it exists only for the length of the match. It is off until you switch it on, the switch lives on the home screen, and it applies only to matches against a person — the AI has no face to show you.
Coins are play money. They buy seats at tables and cosmetic board skins. They cannot be cashed out, transferred, or exchanged for anything of real value.

1.0.1
September 8, 2026
A private room appeared twice in your list of rooms. It was never two rooms - the app was holding the same one under two cards - and it now shows once. The video call fills its frame properly instead of sitting in a box inside it, and the frame glows gold when it is your move. The turn was only ever announced around the board, which is no help when you are looking at the other player.
