DO NOT BUY (READ REVIEWS FIRST)

I got this app for editing, i was making a video for my dad and i myself am an editor. I got to the part where i had to dub my fathers face in a custom video that i had in my camera roll, i will say that i didn’t read the part where it says you can’t have custom videos but that’s alright. Besides that, i figured i’d put his face in the joker template (the first one that pops up). The quality of the face replace. its so bad that i think my nephew with a couple hours in capcut could do 20x better. before the developers respond to this and say “use better lighting or have less darkness or do another angle” i’ve tried, and it looks wayyyy worse. stay away from this app if you like good quality.

My first four out of four attempts, say face error

I just purchased this and tried four different times, everyone comes out as a face error. Haven’t got it to work yet.

Hi, you must use frontal images, as in identity documents (There must be no other faces in the photo). Images with good definition and lighting, without filters and dark shadows on the face. If you go to Instagram #faceoscar #facestar you will be able to see the clips posted by users from all over the world

Great app but need more faces. Can you add more characters please think the app is down, it’s stopped creating please fix

Hi, thanks for the review. We remind you that you can suggest your favorite titles with the "Suggest Your Favorite Movie" inside the app. Most requested will be added to the list... obviously without additional costs. We are working on adding more faces and characters to the videos.

No Black Actors

This app doesn’t really work for people who aren’t white men. There are no black actors, only a couple non-white actors, and very few women.

This app would be 5 stars without this issue. I wanted to use it for a group trivia but I can’t because of this problem.

Face Oscar

What do you want for 2.99 it lets you choose a movie
And add your face it doesn’t work on every scene
But some scenes you get lucky and your face blends in
You just have to get a really good selfie

Testing

Still testing hasn’t really give me chance to trial before asking for a review...test film at moment I’ve done had no found?

If you have installed the application you have all the clips available. Take a selfie, choose the clip, click on the circular button under the word act the movie. Wait for the processing and download by clicking on the download icon. Good fun

Not worth the money

The processing quality of this app is at best childish. You’d think that if you paid for an app they’d at least remove the watermark. I used it for 10 mins and then deleted. I could easily do a better job in after effects.

Hello, sorry that the app has not satisfied you. For a better result, we recommend using perfectly frontal photos, without sharp shadows, without filters. As you can see on instagram #facestar #faceoscar the photo used has a lot of influence on the quality of the final video. Thank you and good day

LOST FACE STAR APP

Loved FaceOscar so much i decided to buy the Bundle..they all worked except for FaceStar..it wouldn’t work.. so i deleted it so i could reload it thinking it would fix the problem..BUT going back to the App Store i have to pay for it again..I’m having So much fun with this i would love to play FaceStar i dont want to pay for it again.

Hi. By downloading it directly from the purchased package (and not as a single app) you should no longer pay anything. And you can uninstall it and reinstall it as many times as you want.

Reset servers and now working.

UPDATE: I had a problem with the editing was just looping but now seems all to be good. The face part is just a tad out but with just a few more tweaks I can see this being 5 stars.

Saw this advertised on Facebook and thought this looks good but any video I use it just says “Editing” and just stays like that.

It would be best if the videos were just part of the app as 18MB i don’t think would be correct it would be a lot more if it was.

The app however does work well taking your selfie and selecting a moving video so you get an idea but I can’t even watch a completed one yet so I have no idea if it even works.

Hi, sorry but unfortunately for excessive traffic problems due also to the quarantine period, the network and the servers have moments of overload that do not depend on us. We have restored everything and now the editing is done correctly. Sorry if in some moments you will see slowdowns. Thanks for understanding.

Had so much fun with this.

Is there anyway to do some scenarios from the tv series Vikings? That would be great!

No, there are many more titles, constantly updated and without additional costs of course. You have to swipe left in the list of titles and you will see all the others. You can also suggest your favorites, with the "suggest your favorite movie" inside the app. The most requested will be inserted ... the app you make it users.

Check the left side of your smartphone. At the top there is a button that disables the audio.

Mediocre face swap app

Bought this thinking £2.99 would buy me something worthwhile but sadly not so. Only four video clips with nothing to insert a female face on so all a bit boring really and the resultant video could actually be anybody. Sorry but all a bit mundane.

Take a good look at the list of videos ... you have to swipe to the left and you'll see all the other videos, including the female ones.

I made a few videos then it stopped working

I made 5 videos then it would be editing forever and not finish. I deleted and the rest installed and now I cannot get into my videos at all. Then deleted and re downloaded again and now comes up as error! Give me my money back!

There was a problem with the servers that has been fixed. It was not an application problem. The app works.

Needs updated material

I love this app and always have a solid laugh with friends every now and again but I’ve had this app for around 6 months or longer and have only seen a few new movies arrive, thought there would be dozens on offer by now. Little bit disappointed by how much fun I ‘could’ be having... love the app, just need mooooore.
