Game Broken Without Subscription

Hi, I want to rant about the misleading description and the dishonest business model of this game:
The game starts and the rules are explained. The game (without the game club subscription) is introduced, rules are explained, you play. Along the game you inevitably accumulate Diamonds which are there to be used in the โ€œshopโ€ in game where you can exchange diamonds (that you win in game, not from real $). The shop offers power ups of different kinds. But when you already have no option but to exchange the diamond you are not able to UNLESS you pay $4.99 per month for a game subscription.

Itโ€™s not wrong to offer people to subscribe. But itโ€™s not fair to MISLEAD the player into thinking the game is complete. The core of the game is NOT available. So you spend time over and over trying to beat the boss but then you see that you can ,NEVER win unless you pay.

To be FAIR the player should be informed that this is a DEMO that is not completely playable, so that the player can decide whether to spend time playing the intro levels. It is just common courtesy.

It would have been more fair to do either ads every level, or earn players ahead of time, or to offer features with subscription that help a lot and make the game more fun. But in this case the game is broken/dysfunctional UNLESS you pay.

Addictive and intriguing

I recently came back to this game after a couple of years, and am once again sucked in. I could keep playing for an hour. Can't wait to finally solve this game's mysteries!

Minimalistic fun for breaks

I'm very busy at work, sometimes too busy to take a break, and ending up cutting my lunch short just to get everything done. This game provides a sleek and short experience while not demanding any of your time at all. Add Apple Watch support, and I'd be playing it on the go!

Great!

A lot of fun and very addicting. Just wish there were more variety in the shop. Maybe things like replace the borders, collect 5 random parts, etc. take a look at dungeon raid for inspiration. Otherwise, amazing.

Stand-Out Match Game in a Candy Crush world

This game is great. Love the multiplayer mode. Easily recommended for anyone who likes match games with a twist.

Really fun!

I found out about this through Merrit Kopas. It's a really fun game with interesting gambling mechanics. It's fun to try new strategies, and each new enemy requires a slightly different approach.

Simple, Strategic, and Elegant

There's no game currently in the app store quite like this (although 'Darkin' is similar). It is unique and elegant...very entertaining and fun. Highly recommend.

Interesting and different!!

A nice variation on the "Match 3" ( pick 5! ) style of game - with a little luck thrown in!!

Slick but basic

I like the random names... a want to buy a matching domain and start a fashion line with 85% of them... but compared to many other games there is little to do besides play a few hundred random games and amass currency to start you off. I have my own game and tried to give my power-ups some fun. Maybe introducing tile variants (+2 swords, -1 skulls, etc.) could add some spice, but for now the mechanics make me nod off and I've deleted it.

Diamond in the rough

In a sea of match-3 clones, Faif stands alone, mainly because it is completely original, sharing more in common with video poker, than anything else. It's clever risk/reward mechanic is the hook with reward bonus serving to make the game more tactical than a game of chance.

Awesome!!

I never write app reviews but this game is sick. Can't put it down!

Cool

One of the best match three games! And very polished and full of style.

Fun for those 5 min breaks

4/5

Near-Perfect

A+

Meh

Not nearly as strategic or deep as I was expecting. Definitely not worth my $2.

Unplayable in latest version

Hangs after winning some number of matches. Time to put it in the "Wait for Update" folder.

New version is shockingly buggy

The latest update introduced a ton of bugs that make the game completely unplayable. Crashing after every third move does not make it "easier to advance". I hope someone accidentally submitted the wrong build to the App Store, because this is a disaster.
