Fun Until Paywalls
Then wait mechanics set in. And you can speed them up by, you guessed it, micro-transactions. But wait, there’s more! If your vault falls or ends up in a bit of trouble, which WILL happen since the vault is online even when you’re idle! Don’t worry though—you can spend NUKA COLA BOTTLES (which you buy through more microtransactions) to “save” your settlement!
You can integrate micro-transactions ethically, by making them entirely optional, cosmetic only, with more than enough content for free players so if you just want a bonus, you can just pay a bit to add some stuff.
This game is solidly in the toxic model of F2P games. This game is pay-to-win.
In other words… Bethesda pulled another Bethesda.

Gets old fast and ran by lazy developers
The game has gotten so stale to even the devs that they’re recycling monthly events with no change to the event context or story. There is so much Fallout content to center events around but refuse to use anything other than fo4, 76 or TV show. Devs also can’t bother to make anything look distinctive for all the different variants of weapons or clothing
