How to import from Legacy?
I am confused as to how to import my GED and/or Legacy file. Your instructions are incomplete and confusing!
Does not work - frustrating
Set this up a few years ago. Synced once to the app by not able to sync additions on iPhone back to computer Legacy program.
Crashing upon launch
With the last update, app won't open, but crashes immediately. I have iOS 9.5.3, but that still should work.
Families problem?
Love the app & the way it works with Legacy! But what has happened to the Surname search since the last upgrade??

When something works well why change it... Searches are now so complicated that I don’t use it anymore. Great update guys...

I am one that is usually reluctant to download updates for at least a month. But I held my breath and updated.
I am LOVING this latest update. So many new and improved features.
I’m not a syncing type. I use Families so that I can carry my data base along. So no feedback on that.

Dissappointing
Needs an update. When I try to zoom in on my documents they are blurry and unreadable. Adding info from Legacy seems more like converting and then downloading my Legacy info, not syncing like with Evernote or other programs that sync info. Was not worth the cost.
Love it
Easy to install and update. Converts all my Legacy stuff including media to my iPad mini to use whenever I want.

This is a great addition to Legacy for allowing use on my ipad. Works extremely well.
Worst app I've used
The app has been updated to include lots of information extracted from my Legacy Family Tree but the problem is that it is the absolutely most cumbersome, convoluted transfer process I've ever had the misfortune to use. It literally, if all goes well, takes an hour or more to do a simply sync because there is nothing simple about "Families." Why a company as terrific as Legacy would use this app for their iOS mobile customers is beyond comprehension. Today has been 100% wasted on trying to get the program to sync, with the result that I have had to dump it from my iPhone. How does one write Negative Stars? They don't deserve even one. It is worse than "I hate it." It has wasted too many precious hours/days trying to work the app.

Needs a Password Option
The app works well for me, but as I am carrying around personal info on my living relatives (and not living) there really should be a password option. It makes me very nervous not being able to secure this confidential data other than the Ipad Lock Screen Password.
Legacy on an ipad
I have been using the families app for a number of years now because I use Legacy family tree software and this app is a companion piece of software that enables me to have my family tree on an ipad.
Families
DO NOT buy Families! The installation and sync features are nightmares. If you have a joint Apple account they are next to impossible. The user interface comes from pre-personal computer times. It gives Legacy Family Tree a bad name. Not a computer platform crossover.
Cannot add a picture!!
This makes this product not as useful. Please help!
Save your money
Recently purchased and evaluated this software. Worst money that I have ever spent in the App Store. Learn from my bad experience and stay clear of this piece of junk!
Needs work
Maybe a good program, I will never know. Went in circles for hours trying to load laptop family history to ipad. Never was successful.
Printing
I love the program. Only drawback is that i would love to be able to print. I would like to see Ancestor and Descendant Reports and be able to print them.
Does not work with Legacy 8
I have given this app 2 stars because it seems to have nice features. Unfortunately, even though it claims to, it does not yet work with Legacy 8. Maybe there will be an update soon.
Great App
An App that does what it claims! Very fictional! I can't say enough about how much I like it.
Families
This is a very good idea. Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I once got my data transferred from my PC to my iPad, but then the application got hung up. I tried to get support. I was told to delete the program and start over. I've never been able to get the data transferred since and support is no help. The application has been a great waste of time for me and a waste of money. I would not recommend it.
