Fan on the Side

Fans taped it. I remastered it. You just press play. Fan on the Side is twenty years of live John Mayer, recorded from the audience by fans and remastered so it's a pleasure to listen to. Every tape carries the name of the person who made it. It's free: no ads, nothing to buy, and you don't need an account. JUST PRESS PLAY Open the app and a night is already waiting for you. Hit Play the night, or tap Another night and see where you end up. MEET THE TAPERS These recordings exist because someone carried a microphone into the show. Their name is on every track, in the player and on your lock screen, and their notes are there in their own words, along with the gear they used. Nothing is added and nothing is cut: every track plays whole, just as the taper cut it. Flip to Original anytime to hear the tape exactly as it was recorded, right where you are in the song. WANDER THE COLLECTION From the club days to the Trio, the arena tours and the solo shows, every tape is a ticket. Browse by era, year, taper or venue, or see what's just been added. FOLLOW ONE SONG Song Journey plays a single song across every night it shows up, oldest first. Listen to Gravity grow up over the years. BUILD YOUR OWN SETLIST Put songs in the order you want, each one a real night someone taped, credited and played in full. Save it and send the link to a friend. THROW A LISTENING PARTY Schedule a setlist as a live show and everyone hears it together. Show up late and you walk in mid-set, just like the real thing. FOTS RADIO Every night in the collection, back to back, around the clock. Nothing to sign up for. Just tune in. TAKE IT WITH YOU Keep a whole show on your iPhone or iPad for a flight or a long drive. It stays inside the app on your device. IN THE CAR On CarPlay, FOTS Radio and the night cued up for you are one tap away, along with your favorite shows, your setlists and the shows you've kept. The taper's name rides along on every row. YOUR FAVORITES, EVERYWHERE Heart the shows, songs and setlists you love. Sign in with Apple or Google and they follow you to your other devices, the Apple TV app and fanontheside.com. No password, and I never ask for your email or your name. TAPERS GET THE LAST WORD If you taped one of these nights, you can correct it, add to it or have it taken down, no questions asked. No ads. No tracking. Nothing sold. The remasters are here for listening and are never offered as downloads. Fan on the Side is a fan project with no connection to John Mayer, his management or his label.
