Of the various backlight systems I’ve had this one is the best “true color sync” system of them all.
Great product, terrible app
Lights are the best ambient lights. However the app for them is terrible and underdeveloped. Simple fixes would make it tremendously better.
Needs more settings for synced
Great product but app completely ruins it with little settings especially for synced leds running with sync box as you can’t have complete control . My synced leds are longer than tv and it’s off and settings would allow me to get them matching. Also it doesn’t mimic the bottom of screen Perfect anyways if a colour isn’t at a certain brightness

Needs updates
I’m a previous DreamScreen owner so there are several features that I miss which Fancyleds does not support. For example, you could set a “minimum brightness level” so that in dark scenes you could still have a glow. With Fancyleds there is no such feature so the lights flash on and off and can be very distracting. There is also no setting to calibrate/compensate for the length (if you cut off part of the light strip) so the colors are not in alignment towards the last half of the strip. There is also no way to adjust the timing/synchronization of the lights. With my TVs game mode off, the lights are late and with game mode on, the lights are too quick. Neither are in sync with the picture on the screen. I’ve contacted support and they acknowledged these issues but it’s been 6 months now and there have been no updates to this app and no changes to fix these issues. Because of this, I can’t recommend Fancyleds. I hope they will improve and if they do I will update my review.

Was great when it worked
I’ve done everything to connect this to my WiFi network and it just doesn’t work. Have a couple hundred dollars brick on the back of my tv that I cannot do anything with.
This app needs to be UPDATED
Please add the ability to keep the leds ON for black areas. I tried watching Stranger Things and the ON OFF ON OFF was so annoying and distracting that i turn the LEDS off. If u could keep them on during the black areas it would help so much with certain content.
Could be a lot better
While the led themselves are ok the connection is terrible if you lose connection to the WiFi at anytime you’re pretty much done for I don’t know why they haven’t thought of a back up option or any way that actually works for figuring this out or at least updating the application or something it’s kinda disappointed the LEDs are useless now

Nothing works
The app doesn’t work. The app doesn’t recognize the device. Followed instructions to a T. Doesn’t work at all. No customer service. $150 wasted.
Cool app but
I love the ambient lighting it’s really good! But I wish there was more settings, for example, diffusion modes only has 3 options and the lowest one is 1 colour per side. I wish there was one in the middle of 1 and 2 to make it more subtle or so it can spread colour a bit wide so it’s more subtle like the Philips hue as it’s a nice setting for tv shows and so on.
I don’t like to compare to Philips
But I like the fact you got options such as, standard, sports & game, I feel these lights are always on the game setting but it’ll be nice to have a subtle one
Id also love more settings under scene like the rainbow option is cool but would be better if I had the option for it to alter through 2/3 colours rather than every colour.

Saturation slider
Should have a slider for saturation setting

Sync customer support
Customer support takes very long to return messages. The sync function seems to be very susceptible to failure and the fix takes forever to be implemented

Almost there, love the product!
Please add a color calibration/shift so you can compensate for wall color, allowing warm or cool shifts in the color. The defunct competitor DreamScreen had this, as well as other twinkling light options.
Simple and easy
A well designed interface that has made it very simple to purchase and connect different devices together. I was very impressed how easy it was to buy through the app.
Won’t connect to phone
My power went out a few weeks ago and now the app won’t pick up the box. I have done all the resets and tried reading but now I’m sync mode it can’t find a device anywhere despite it being in pairing mode. Is there a fix for this?
Works Amazing
My previous review mentioned a problem with my tv glitching and getting black screens when playing MW2 but after looking at the user manual I saw that this problem could be fixed by turning off VRR in PS5 setting. Now I don’t have any problems with the product
