!!!

Good to see this app back! Definitely loving the look of the new layout so far. I do miss how some of extra options were kept in a little sliding side window, since it made it a little easier to navigate. Things feel a bit more separated in this version. It'll definitely take some time to get used to, especially when I switch between Apple and Android devices. The buttons are also a little bit too homogeneous. It's easy to click on the wrong thing, at least when on iPad. Other than that, the only thing I can think of to add is the drop down menu to sort between fandoms in the "offline/to read" section like the old version did. It makes it a little easier to find that one fic you saved for offline reading later instead of having to navigate the whole pile of fics saved from multiple fandoms. Also, maybe the ability to change the colors of the boxes around the tags. They can be pretty bright in dark mode.

Response from developer

The dropdown of fandoms will be there soon. Changing tag colors is a good idea, I'll see to that in the future. And I'll keep your point about buttons in mind. Thank you !

New and improved

So thankful to be able to switch onto this new app. Liked the other one but it was so loaded with ads it was driving me insane. Glad to have the option to go ad free again.

Response from developer

What do you mean by "holding onto" ? Your subscriptions on the Profile tab -> My account and bookmarks at My profile. Please send an email if we're misunderstanding each other here and we can talk easier :)

The app is great- love it for the offline feature. I can tell it's more polished than the original archive reader app, but I preferred the ability to filter offline works by Fandom in the old app, as well as having the saved searches section on the main menu.

Response from developer

Duly noted, I'll see about putting the saved searches on the "Search" page. Which, makes sense actually lol. I'll see about putting on the fandom filter on every list too. Thanks for the feedback !

Glad for this app

I really enjoy this app, unlike many other unofficial AO3 apps that I have found this one is completely free and works surprisingly well but their are 2 things that kinda bug me when I use it. First the history function, why is the history erased every time I leave the app? Can’t their be an option to hold the history for longer? Second, some times the app won’t load things that I search right away, so I got to retry multiple times. Overall though great app. 👍

Response from developer

The app navigation history is not saved because that would be a lot of irrelevant data being stored on your device. The My Account -> History has all the works you've ever opened, but it sometimes takes a bit of time to show up there while the app's navigation history is instant. It's in a kind of weird in-between spot, for sure.
