Fanorona is a two-player strategy board game that originated in Madagascar. The objective is to capture all of your opponent's pieces by strategically moving your own pieces.
Capturing in Fanorona is done by either approaching an opponent's piece or withdrawing from it. When a piece is captured, any subsequent opponent pieces in line behind it are also captured.
The board in Fanorona has both weak and strong intersections. At weak intersections, pieces can only move horizontally and vertically, while at strong intersections, diagonal movement is also possible.
