Sweet app but one curious behavior

I was wondering, what is the intended purpose behind what happens if you tap and hold on the C button. The whole app desaturates and it seems that it’s some kind of input lock. But it still clears the total window and even blanks it. Tap C again and function (and color) returns.

Simple.Easy to use and free. BUT .... why use 7 segment display? Confusing in hex mode when “B” shown in lower case. I thought we had moved on from those early basic displays!
