So far, so good
Frustrating at times
I'd give it a five, but.....
Amazing Voyage
Not exactly the Love Boat
The good: varied puzzles, good HOPs, interesting storyline, long-playing, great fundamentals (teleporting map, good hint button, nicely marked back button, compass on the scene to let you know active areas). Good sound and graphics...not great but very good.
The bad: the loading time between scenes was horrible (full star deduction), some of the game and cut scenes just felt old, and the entire game was always dark and dull...there were no bright scenes to alleviate the dullness of the game, which also led to the feeling that it was old and tired. ๐ซ๐ซ๐๐๐๐And some of the scenes were cut off, so if you missed a collectible, you couldn't get back to it.
So it's a three star game. Worth the sale price, but maybe not full retail.
Greetings to you all, hoping all are well -- thank you for all the reviews...they are very helpful, and I read them before making a purchase.
Clunky and slow
Fear for Sale: Endless Voyage by LynxMinx
On to the review. I absolutely loved this game and I wish I could have given it a full 5 stars. The story was interesting, but I would have liked a journal to keep track of it because when I play late at night and take a sleeping pill I don't remember playing. They do regularly update objectives, you can customize your settings (wish there was a left-handed one), the hint wasn't a spoiler and of course there's a strategy guide. The graphics were terrific and colorful, the cut-scenes were exciting, and there were tons of locations to unlock. That leads me to the other reason I deducted a star. There is a LONG LAG TIME between locations, so please Elefun, start giving us the pleasure of INSTANTANEOUS LOAD! This game was quite lengthy and had a long bonus adventure. There were collectibles, either beyond objects or part of a different collection, but they showed you a gold star on the map so you knew when you had found all the collectibles. The map was a marked teleport map, our favorite type for lazy players such as myself. The gameplay was flawless and the game flowed beautifully! Inventory was labeled and there were the always fun plus items to assemble. The HO scenes were varied, or you could do a jigsaw. There was a nice variety of puzzles and mini-games, and I only skipped one! And happily for me, no rodents except for a couple of mice in the HO scenes. Thanx, Dracyy! Keep me updated on that situation in that new Maze game!
Anyway, I send โค๏ธ๐๐ to KimTwilight, Dracyy and the rest of the fabulous Dream Team Elite! Happy gaming everybody! I am going to play another Alwar game first and then I will play that new game!
