Disappointed

I sadly thought this was going to be accurate. Every bird ID was off. Probably half of the ID’s I did were wrong. Most of my ID’s said it was a mourning dove and I’ve been collecting and identifying feathers for years so I know a mourning dove feather. These were not mourning dove feathers. I have deleted it.

Simple and easy to use

As a curious beginner, I really appreciate how simple this pocket field guide for birdwatchers is. It's so easy to use as an app, which makes exploring birds even more enjoyable. While I haven’t seen any recent updates or changes yet, I’m excited to share a few ideas I'd love to see added to make it even better.

First, it would be wonderful if the Feather & Bird Encyclopedia were already part of the app. It might also be helpful to see a picture of the bird species the feather identified came from, especially using the photo I uploaded to my field log. Additionally, in the community section, having a search feature with a map to help narrow down my area would be fantastic, especially if it showed which other feathers from different bird species have been spotted or recorded by other users. It could also be useful to have a filter by state or province so I can focus on birds that are likely to be found in my region—making it easier to find the most common birds nearby. Lastly, if I decide to change something after submitting a photo, it would be nice to go back into my field notes to add details like where and when I found the feather, especially if I didn't include that info initially.
