Terrible Connection/wants access to personal data
Every launch there is a connection problem and you have to mess around it for at least 30 minutes to get it right. Im just gotta find a stick on over light smh. Plus, they want to much personal information just to use a lightbulb.

Every GD UPDATE breaks the GD APP and forces me to re-set up every GD LIGHT! And then it says “sorry this function isn’t available for the current user account”! I’m listed as the GD HOMEOWNER YOU DPSHT!
Remember Wi-Fi!
I use this app and my lights on exactly one WiFi network. Why does the app need to request my location and then fallback to manual entry every time I need to re-add my lights after my kid flips the light switch repeatedly? Why does only one bulb out of 3 in the same fixture successfully connect? Why can’t I just use the app to tell the other 2 bulbs to leave pairing mode?

Auto-Log Outs Not Helpful
Generally, a very good and functional app. Connects to the lights relatively quickly.

Siri Shortcuts are always unable to launch. Hasn’t been fixed in years
App is so easy to use
I bought the Feit smart bulbs after trying out the Kasa, smart bulbs. These bulbs were so much easier to program. The app is so easy to use with my iPhone. I have programmed my bulb for all different colors. The color stays until I change it.
only one user
my wife and I both want to control our lights plugged into a Feit Electric plug, but the app keeps kicking one of us off and order for the other one too add the lights. Super frustrating!
Connecting issues
Doesnt connect consistently you have to play with it and now its not connecting at all. It was nice working with yall
Terrible connection issues
Be on a 2.4ghz band, check. Have the lamp in pairing mode with a flashing red light, check. Connect your device? Never happens. Hours of time trying everything from Feit and the web, nada. A device like this should be simple to connect, but it’s absolutely not the case for Feit.
Bulbs are going offline
Something has changed. Never had issue before but now my bulbs are going offline than online. Wifi has no issues.
Was Awesome
Goes on and off at random times even after resetting it numerous times! Used to be great but it is lacking lately
Bulbs make a sound
I have enjoyed the bulbs other than the nuisance after power outages, but most colors, other than white, make a buzzing sound especially when turned brighter. For this reason, I am looking for a different brand of bulbs.
Two things you want from this device
And neither is done. 1. Light comes on with motion then turn off. Never works. Always on. Or turn device off

Pairing
Too difficult to pair items to new WiFi. Why do they have make it 10 steps and then it doesn’t even work right?
Let’s Burglars know Your Not Home
If there is a power outage and you have their WiFi bulbs installed they will flash on and off until you reconnect them to your internet. So if you leave on a vacation and you have these lights set to a schedule and the power gets disconnected every light connected will blink non stop day and night letting everyone walking by your house know you’re not home. Great design fellas!!!

Bad company
Have to sign up for an account to function properly. Needs your wifi password for some reason but it connects via bluetooth. They also want your location which is supposed to find light bulbs easily. You can manually add without doing this. I don’t want to give all the info they require to just change the color of a light bulb. Gimme the remote like other brands.

Ads pop up when the app is opened
I have purchased many Feit smart products over the years and my experience has been positive. There are occasional glitches where a device needs to be reset but I consider it an annoyance as I know the steps to take to resolve.
I recently opened the app to turn a light on and was stunned by an intrusive ad covering my device list. Needless to say I was annoyed the first time, this time I am shopping for replacement products. I paid for the products which require me to use the app, this feels creepy and wrong.

Ads now??
I’ve had FEIT bulbs for years. The app is a little hit or miss in terms of functionality, but it is fine overall. I will not be buying any new FEIT products unless the ads are removed, though. Adding them was a terrible decision.
