Takes too long to connect
Nightmare. I’ve been using feit for years and I think I’ve had just about enough self punishment. Sometimes it works fine, but often not. You have to fiddle with it constantly. Recently, the app updated or something and now you have to have your Bluetooth on and wait a bit before you can even use your lights. Not safe as I can’t quickly turn on a light at night.

Great ideas, bad follow through
Will not purchase this brand any further. I originally purchased two A-19 base bulbs for my coach lights outside my garage. They worked okay for a while but then would turn off randomly. The app wouldn’t follow the schedule. I changed them out to another brand and have never had an issue.
Now I’ve purchased RGB strip lights that were supposed to chase each other and be fun for a game room. That is not the case. The colors are horrendous to what they claim to be. There are random sections of the strip light that sometimes work and sometimes don’t. The app control is just as bad, adjust the brightness and it adjusts the color, two sets of strips and I can’t sync them together with the same color. These products were sent with remotes to which neither of them work.

Best
Love Feit security cameras and dimmers. Dimmers are a bit hard to set but once you catch the pattern is ok . I got 12 dimmers , all my house and they work perfect. The cameras are the best for who doesn’t want a monthly paid service . They connect and respond super fast to your app/ phone. One big disappointment is Feit doesn’t upgrade their security cameras to 2.5 k or 4 k faster while a lot of Mickey Mouse brand already flooded the market with 2.5 k . Same Feit quality in 2.5 or 4k is long overdue.

Don’t waste your money
Edit to update - even with Bluetooth on, this still insists that it’s unable to connect. The app is ridiculous. I don’t need a help file or FAQ. I need an app that actually works. I’m never buying this garbage again.

App used to work better
This app used to work great when I first got Feit lightbulbs. Unfortunately, since one of the major iPhone updates a while back when the widgets were gone, things have not worked well. The widgets are back but they don’t work for me as pressing the specific bulb to turn on/off yields no action. A long press just takes me to the app itself. And for some reason, every time I go into the app to turn my light on/off, it tells me I have to turn my Bluetooth on first which was never needed before. Thankfully, I haven’t experienced the ads other reviewers mentioned (knock on wood). But it’s a bit frustrating that something that used to work perfectly no longer does. Instead of being convenient, it’s an annoyance.

Do not buy
I am losing my mind with these lights. They will not stay paired and then start flashing like a strobe so they don’t even work as a light. Avoid!
Bulbs no longer work- just flashes
Light bulb worked fine but now just flashes on and off. This is the 2nd bulb to do this in less than a month. Tried to repeatedly troubleshoot and reset but nothing works. I’ve decided these bulbs are trash. Better to use a smart plug with regular lightbulbs.

Every launch there is a connection problem and you have to mess around it for at least 30 minutes to get it right. Im just gotta find a stick on over light smh. Plus, they want to much personal information just to use a lightbulb.

Every GD UPDATE breaks the GD APP and forces me to re-set up every GD LIGHT! And then it says “sorry this function isn’t available for the current user account”! I’m listed as the GD HOMEOWNER YOU DPSHT!
Remember Wi-Fi!
I use this app and my lights on exactly one WiFi network. Why does the app need to request my location and then fallback to manual entry every time I need to re-add my lights after my kid flips the light switch repeatedly? Why does only one bulb out of 3 in the same fixture successfully connect? Why can’t I just use the app to tell the other 2 bulbs to leave pairing mode?

Generally, a very good and functional app. Connects to the lights relatively quickly.

App is so easy to use
I bought the Feit smart bulbs after trying out the Kasa, smart bulbs. These bulbs were so much easier to program. The app is so easy to use with my iPhone. I have programmed my bulb for all different colors. The color stays until I change it.
only one user
my wife and I both want to control our lights plugged into a Feit Electric plug, but the app keeps kicking one of us off and order for the other one too add the lights. Super frustrating!
