This app deserves more attention and love
Had this app for many years now, really happy with it and everyone always says recordings sound good as I record my band practises with this. Excellent worth getting.
Lightweight and Convenient and Totally Useful
It's lightweight and very convenient for creating multi-track mixes on the go without needing to take out my laptop every time. The Shortcuts Bar is a really nice touch. Love it.
My Suggestions:

I instinctively look for the Play/Pause Button at the top like in Hokusai, and keep missing it. It would also help if the button could be made larger, similar to Hokusai.
[Optional but still desired]
It would be nice if the multi-track editor used the same accent colour as the library interface. Using it in Dark Mode, the standard sky blue looks better than the tinted yellow.
[Combined suggestion]
On that note, adding a UI setting for buttons placement (top or bottom) and accent/background colour adjustment would also be a welcome addition.
For now the free version meets my requirement. I will definitely purchase the upgrades in the near future for the automation and advanced features as one-time payment is always my preference over subscription models.

Horrible audio quality
The audio quality of recordings is awful. Very tinny/tunnel sounding. I used the same mic, conditions, script, etc to record in other apps and it sounds fine. It’s only this app that records poorly.
HORRIBLE INTERFACE
I need to do some simple VO editing and tried this app. There are next to no tools and the ones there do not seem to work. It’s not intuitive it’s so minimal that it’s useless.
Love the app, but iCloud sync is missing

I’d like to record on my phone, but edit on my iPad.

Super Handy
I have been using the pro version for incidental bits for my show. Helps me precisely layer speech over music. I can quickly brew up all those elements for a show, using my iPad.
Aber Service nur auf Englisch und keine Kurzbefehle
Menüführung in Deutsch, aber Support nur in Englisch! Außerdem keine Shortcuts (Kurzbefehle) verfügbar. Gerade mit iPhones, die eine Aktionstaste haben, wäre dies nützlich gewesen. Enttäuscht bin ich vom Service, der nicht mal in der Lage ist, einen Übersetzer zu benutzen.
Still the best iPad app I have
It's been yet a couple more years since I last updated my review. Ferrite is the biggest reason I still have an iPad. It is indispensable for my podcast editing. While for my purposes I haven't made full use of everything it's capable of, what I care about is that it continues to be steady and reliable through various interface/OS updates, so I happily continue to subscribe!

Ferrite recording studio:
Will there ever be a way you could make it where you can record with both front and back stereo mics activated at the same time? That would really make it great! Also, is there a possible to make it better record more than an hour? Thanks!
Limited usability
Only exports at 44.1 for free tier. Maybe the paid version does higher and by higher I mean 48 kHz as that is the max a pro max phone can do according to apple support.
Top Tier, but…
This app is worth the asking price, feature complete and I’ve used it since version one, I do wish there were bubble pop ups for menus and the help guide as it would make navigating the app much easier.
I would also like it if the app had a way to create a profile of all my settings so if I install on another iPad (ai have bought two copies from two different stores to support the developer) I don’t have to hunt down all the little preferences I had set up on the previous iPad.

Need a mac app
I need this app in mac
Disappointed
I got this app thinking I could make voice sound all funky and make my ukulele sound better but then I realized that I have to get a pass to do all this cool stuff but all I can do is change my volume!
My dad looked up apps good for what I want to do and the reviews say good things but it’s so disagreeable that I left this review.
I will keep this app for a little bit longer and if I still can’t figure out my problem I’m leaving a 1 star review.

A multi-track recording studio in your pocket.
Honestly - since the day Ferrite was launched it’s been invaluable. It does things no other app can do. It’s like Adobe Audition on a phone but much, much better. The level of support is second to none and the constant updates and developments put it far beyond the reaches of other apps. Of all the apps on my phone it’s the one I cannot do without.

Makes iPad Invaluable
I’ve used Ferrite for many years to edit podcasts and it’s incredible. I could not produce the amount of content I do without Ferrite. Incredible app.
The best editing app!
I love using this while doing my podcast! It makes editing so easy especially for someone who has just started into podcasting and as a hobby. Great quality and easy to use!
Buggy
I regret paying the $30 for this app. It crashes so many times. The editing controls are very limited and clumsy to find and use. Currently can’t recommend this app. Disappointed
Fantastische Tool
Ich nutze die App nahezu täglich zum Aufnehmen (iPhone) & Bearbeiten (iPad) und bin seit mehr als 2 Jahren sehr zufrieden! Die Funktionen sind durchdacht & intuitiv, sodass man sehr effizient arbeiten kann. Der Kontakt zu den Entwicklern ist sehr schnell und hilfreich. Ich habe noch etliche andere Apps & PC-Programme getestet, aber diese App schlägt für Podcast-/Sprachbearbeitung durch die gute Apple Pencil Unterstützung alle getesteten Alternativen deutlich. Ich hätte auch mehr dafür gezahlt.

How do you share files my share button isn’t working?
Wonderful app. Could use more features.
This is an absolutely wonderful app. The interface is iPad optimized and intuitive. It is modern and clean. As a recording app, it excels. Where it falls short is post-recording features. The built-in features work well, but as someone who records audiobooks and needs standardized RMS, limits, de-clicking, de-essing, and such, I still have to export to a laptop to finish my recordings in Audacity. These are pretty standard audio editing features, and it would be nice to see them baked in to Ferrite. These app also doesn’t support iCloud syncing of files, so working across multiple iPads requires exporting and importing, which is tedious. I still recommend the app wholeheartedly. Just know it is missing some key features that could make it even better.
