What's New in FerventWord

1.1.0

October 15, 2026

Notebooks, highlights and notes, made clearer. Every highlight now belongs to a notebook. Choose the notebook as you make a highlight, or move one later: tap any highlight and pick a notebook. Removing a notebook asks whether to move its highlights into another one or delete them with it. Where highlights overlap, each shows as a band of its own color, so no color is lost under another. Settings → Highlights & Notes has one Show Highlights setting — All Notebooks, Current Notebook or None — where it had two switches, and a Current Notebook setting that chooses where new highlights go. Menu → Your Highlights & Notes lists everything in a notebook, in Bible order or by most recent, either way round. Tapping a highlight opens its passage with that highlight showing. The reading screen's More menu has Share Chapter Highlights, which hands every highlight in the chapter — with its color's name, its notebook and your note — to the share sheet as text. It replaces View Highlights. Custom reading plans keep chapters whole. A day ends where a chapter does wherever the plan's length allows, and a long chapter is divided into near-equal parts. The days a plan works out are kept with it, so it reads the same on every device and after any update. Plans you already have keep their days exactly as they were; changing a plan's books, order, passages a day or length is what moves it onto the new division. Plan codes are easier to find. Enter A Plan Code is at the top of Reading Plan Setup, on Get Started and in the menu, and a code link from a friend or a church opens it with the code filled in. Short videos show how FerventWord works: Menu → Documentation → Videos, and a Watch section on the pages they cover. Settings → General → Suggest Videos turns off the suggestions on Get Started and Reading Plan Setup. Giving is back. Menu → Support The Ministry offers an optional gift to FerventWord Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, with Apple Pay. Nothing in the app is unlocked or withheld by it. FerventWord has a new logo, and Prayer Mentions shows its new icon. FIXED Delete Notebooks And Their Highlights also deleted highlights that were in no notebook. It deletes only the chosen notebooks' highlights now, and a highlight found in no notebook is kept in one called Recovered Highlights. In eighteen places the ESV begins a new section partway through a verse. Those headings were shown as words of the verse; they are set as headings now, and highlights on those verses keep their words. A new note's line beside the text sat lower down the page until you scrolled. Long chapters open and scroll more smoothly.

GREAT "TOOL" to be IN GOD's WORD

This is a great "tool", for anyone who wants to simply be in God's word daily!
I love how you can personalize your reading plan, that would best fit your schedule, life and needs.
As well as, there are some really great resources, from
Charts, maps, sermon notes, etc... especially video teachings, from a very solid Pastor and Bible Teacher.
If you have a background and love CALVARY CHAPEL "style", or just love to be in "God's Word", then you'll honestly love this app!
