Inaccurate calculations

There is a flaw in this app in that it is using my salary to calculate my monthly savings, which when annualized equals my salary. This is not an accurate or dependable application and needs to be fixed.

Make FFCalc Great

About 2 years ago when I first downloaded FFCalc it had a lot more features such as monthly income support, interest rate inputs, etc. Today when I wanted to create a new plan all this has disappeared and it is now asking for $2.99 fee per month. I’ll just put together my own spreadsheet and delete this app.

Great app

It's a great tool, love the ability to add multiple periods. However the numbers don't match my calculations, so it needs more clarity around how the compounding is figured:

- compound interest seems to be off by about -1.14% for a simple $0 expenses no inflation 2yr plan. It varies with years.
- unclear how often inflation is figured (monthly?)
- unclear if contributions are calculated at the start of the month or the end

Fun to calculate different saving scenarios

I had this app for several years and with the last update, they are charging 8.99 a year.
Very disappointing. Good app and very helpful. It doesn't calculate tax cost into the scenarios to compute real income

Superb app

This app is the best I’ve found as it allow you to build multiple investment scenarios taking into inflation, growth rate and one off investment or expenditure

Most finance apps of this nature are far too simple

Also love the real-time graphs that clearly illustrate if your investment/ retirement strategy will work

Support is super helpful too and respond really quick

I would highly recommend this app if you want to plan your retirement savings and wish to quickly model various financial scenarios

BASIC feature not present

I like this calculator except for the fact that I have to put in monthly income and monthly expenses to figure the savings rate. There is no reason for this. I just want the option to put how much I save per month, I don’t need nor want to figure out all that extra math.

Thank you for your feedback. User use the app differently and many want to put in a lot of information. As a suggestion for your use case, you can just enter your montly savings rate as monthly income and do not enter any monthly expenses. That way the app does exactly what you want. Maybe you want to try the app again, I also added many new features in the last month. Would love to hear your honest feedback again.

Very basic with few options

Good premise, but no ability to change the earn rate during retirement or even before you retire to get ready for it.

Easy to use, fab App

Downloaded today and within a min or two was understanding different scenarios that could be my future. Highly recommend for looking at what your savings could be and/or onward planning for retirement. Excellent!

Not enough inputs to really calculate retirement

Doesn’t account for inflation. Call calculate post retire rate of return different than Pre.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Over the years I improved the app significantly and now you can set many different inputs for each period. Would love to hear your feedback on the current version of the app. Maybe you would like to try it again.

I’m thinking this app could be misleading. Not enough variables are included to make a safe retirement decision....
