I use the free version with some of the other instrument apps from this company. It's pretty good. The notes are an octave higher. Not sure why.

This app is simple, but effective. I can have hours of fun with this violin app. However maybe make the other skins free. But other than that the app is great.
Rip Off
Bought it out right and now it's trying to extort money from me to remove adverts. The adverts railroad you to in app purchases in ITunes when you try to press the cross to close them. Garbage like this is the reason why iTunes have got it so wrong after the demise of Steve Jobs. I would give this app a negative 5 rating if we're actually possible.

Bought In-App add-ons, but never delivered
I bought the "No ads" and "All tunings" add-ons to Fiddle Companion Sept. 2015, got my Apple receipt, but they weren't installed. 3 emails to the developer Infinaut support group went completely unanswered. I had to get a refund from Apple after 3 weeks.
Not much here
There are better tuners out there, and that’s about all the free app is. I don’t get enough of a feel to want any in-app purchases. It’s already off my iPad.

Perfect for practicing intonation
The tuning notes sustain for as long as you'll let them so it's perfect for making sure you play all the rest of your notes in tune.
