Unplayable : controls do not work

This game is a neat idea, but I the controls do not work. After swiping and swiping on the control pad I gave up and uninstalled. I wish I could get a refund.

Have it on Steam

This game is amazing. I have it on Steam, and it’s so good it was an instant download when I saw it in the App Store. It is a puzzle game, so be ready to slow it down a bit.

A gem

Truly — a treasure of a game from top to bottom.

Good Fun

Nice.

One of the best puzzle games available on mobile.

Well worth $15, let alone $3.

Unresponsive

Can not get past the opening screen. Works great until the tutorial tip pops up (blue outline with a dog paw that’s swiping). Then the dog stops moving. I can tap and make him bark but he won’t move any directions.

Response from developer

it could have been a screen issue with your iOS device... we seem to have fixed all of them. Please give it another try!

New update broke game on iPhone XS Max.

The game is no longer playable on my iPhone XS Max after the latest update.

Response from developer

it should work well now! (even better that it ever could)

Sweet Hardcore yet casual puzzler

This game is a hardcore puzzler, but because you also have infinite redos on moves (all the way to the start) for every level, it’s also somewhat casual. Therefore, it hits that sweet spot between hardcore and casual that makes a game addicting.

Quick list of good, bad and neutral:
+randomly generated levels
+you’re a dog trying to save your elderly master! Isn’t that cute?!?
+learn-as-you-go type game — no tutorial, yet patterns and mechanics are extremely easy to learn due to redo button and this gives the game a sense of discovery, similar to Road Not Taken, another game.
+offline, fully premium, zero IAP
+flawless controls
+PC port. PC quality.
+does not make device hot
-drains battery fast
-not a portrait game. Bummer.
-level 15, the final level, is exceedingly difficult. It can only be done with full hearts, both a healing potion and a bomb, and some RNG enemy placement luck. Frustrating.
~while levels are randomly generated, there are boss levels that are similar enough to each other for you to notice. Might make it repetitive for some.
~infinite redos, but if you die three times, a ghost comes to kill you. You can’t make quick moves, or you might die. Once you die three times you start over.

Tip: you can swap the start and finish points. This gives the game even more depth.

Broken on xs max

.

Response from developer

should be working fine now!

Bought twice

Originally bought on steam after lets play with Jonathan blow. Loved it and naturally had to buy it a second time for mobile where I felt it really beloved in the first place

Not Playable on XS (Update: Fixed)

This is a great game, but currently the aspect ration is incorrect on the normal XS. A third of the game is impossible to see. Really excited for it to be fixed.

Update: Thanks for the quick fix!

Brilliant puzzler

I had been keeping an eye on this game when it was on Steam, but waited until it’s iPad release as it seemed perfect for that platform - and it is! There are no instructions and you must learn as you go, but by simply paying attention and trying things, you find plenty of clues. You can always reverse your moves (up to a point) to try something different.

The pixel graphics are lovely and the challenge is immense. If you want a relaxing puzzle game to plow through, avoid this. If you want a game that requires trial and error and thinking, you have found it! This is as good as it gets for a hard puzzle game and I expect I will be trying to master it for a very long time.

Other factors: No ads, no IAP, suitable for short play sessions, landscape mode only, no screen rotation, easy on the battery.

A masterpiece

i loved this game on PC, and having it on the phone is seriously awesome.
This game is an extremely well crafted puzzle game were each step matter and need to be thought, with a super charming art !!

The mobile version is great, the visual are super crisp !
My only (minor) complaint would be the controls, with a few change this game could be played with one hand (allow the swipe anywhere, not just to a side of the screen, and taping anywhere instead of taping on the dog to valide would make the experience perfect)

If you like puzzle games, just buy this one, it's up there with Hopelite :) !

Amazing game! Broken on an XS Max!

I love this game on PC, and am super excited to play it on mobile.

That said, it’s unplayable on an iPhone XS Max. Essential gameplay elements are hidden underneath the notch, and you can’t even rotate the screen to avoid it.

Really looking forward to an update that lets me enjoy this fantastic game!
