Fidel Scribe: Learn Amharic

Most language apps skip Amharic. Fidel Scribe teaches you to write it - character by character, in your own hand. No account needed. Open it and start. WRITE IT, DON'T JUST TAP IT Draw a character with your finger and the app reads your handwriting back. This is not a tracing outline you follow with a fingertip - you write the character from memory, and the app tells you whether you got it right. THE COMPLETE FIDEL All 238 characters of the Ethiopian script, laid out as the chart you would find on a classroom wall. Tap any cell to hear it and to practise it. Free, and staying free. COURSES THAT START FROM ZERO Guided lessons take the alphabet seven characters at a time, the way it is actually taught - each family a consonant with its seven vowel forms. Every family builds on the last, so you are never staring at a wall of 238 shapes wondering where to begin. QUIZZES THAT MAKE IT STICK Listen and pick. Read and recall. Find the missing letter. Short drills that mix recognition with recall, so what you learn on Monday is still there on Friday. ETHIOPIAN NUMERALS The Ge'ez number system gets its own section and its own practice - the numerals you will meet on signs, dates and prices, and that most courses never mention. BUILT TO BRING YOU BACK XP, achievements, and jebenas you earn as you go and spend in the shop. Optional practice reminders, if you want the nudge. FOR HERITAGE LEARNERS AND ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS Whether you grew up hearing Amharic and never learned to write it, or you are starting from nothing, the app assumes no prior knowledge and never asks you to read a character it has not taught you. FIDEL SCRIBE PREMIUM The chart, the courses, the quizzes and the numbers are free, and they stay free. Everyone gets a set number of handwriting checks to try. Fidel Scribe Premium makes those checks unlimited and adds the write-a-word drill - whole Amharic words, every character in the word checked separately - plus detailed progress statistics. Fidel Scribe Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. The subscription length is one year, and the price in your local currency is shown on the subscription screen in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Manage or cancel it any time in Settings on your iPhone.
