The app is wayyy behind!
I went out on a limb and bought a digital membership with no access to previous issues past 2024. If I’m paying $9.99 a month, I should have access to ALL issues. And then there’s the elephant in the room, where are the 2025 issues? I thought the promise was fore “more printed issues”?
Field and Steam app does not work.
The field and stream doesn’t work.
Every time I launch it , it bombs. Can’t even get to start page. I am using iOS on iPad and iPhone. Doesn’t work on any of my devices (3). I can log on using browser but not by using app.

Don’t bother
Really wish I would’ve read the comments before subscribing and downloading this app. Was a big fan of the print magazine years ago and thought it’d be cool to have it again. Well, as you can see going back a decade, this app doesn’t work. apparently the owners must not care because the app still doesn’t work. I’ve messaged customer service and have never gotten a reply. Just save yourself the hassle and move on to another magazine.

The app that never gets fixed
This app doesn’t update. Lots of issues and Field and Stream customer support is not very helpful.
Crash, wouldn’t let me read current issues even though I subscribed.
I had a subscription to field and stream for over 20 years, and loved every issue, and luckily for me I saved a bunch, because this app is absolute garbage. I had tried for over 6 months to be able to read new issues, but it would never let me, even though my subscription was active at the time. After contacting apple several times and field and stream through the email on the website, we narrowed it down to the app itself. After 6 months with no change in accessibility, I just ended up giving up and canceling, so for the first time in 20 years I have nothing to read. Whoever owns and runs this app for them is seriously lacking in maintenance. I’d love to subscribe again, IF they ever figure it out.

Does not work
Paid for a year subscription and can not see any magazines. Reset many times. Customer support nonexistent.
Digital app does not work!!!
Contacted field and stream customer service and they said it was an iTunes issue. Going through the app support on iTunes and they send you back to field and stream…worst customer service ever.

Keeps telling me to subscribe
I have a valid subscription, and the app will not recognize it. I have restored multiple times and no luck. There’s no reason to subscribe to this magazine if you are not allowed to read it.
Could do better
Each year when my subscription renews I go through weeks of grief trying to unblocked…..though this would be fixed by now.

Paid 11.99 for one year subscription to Field and Stream and I can’t access from the app down loaded from apple store

The App is horrible.
I’m a long time field and stream subscriber and the app used to be pretty good. Now it doesn’t even recognize my subscription anymore. I’ve deleted the and reinstalled it and it still doesn’t recognize me even with my user ID number. Will be canceling my subscription.
Love to actually read it but it is alway Broken

Have ensured I have subscribed via the App Store but the new issue will not add to my library, and just continues to prompt me to subscribe. Some older issues that do appear in my library also will not load.

Can’t access magazines
I’m a print + digital subscriber but the app is prompting me to purchase or subscribe to access the current issue. The last edition is from 2020. Where are the new magazines?
I grew up with F&S but...
An update. Do not pay to subscribe. The magazine is not being published and I have not received an issue since renewing in 2020. Bonnier sold the magazine to an equity group and reputable distributors are not selling subscriptions.
Apple is happy to take our money and, to sure, they have taken mine and refuse to return it.
RIP to a decent magazine and writers.
Times change and lack of interest in the outdoors is taking its toll. The magazine is a good read but reducing issues per year from 12 to 9 to 6 and being inconsistent on release dates sort of arouses a “what’s the point” feeling in me. I’m kind of sorry I renewed in November and I’m certainly tired of checking to see if a new issue has come out. I’ve had this experience with other magazines and it’s not a good sign. And, no, I no longer subscribe to them or even read them. When the passion dies...

Worst subscription app
I’ve been a longtime digital subscriber to Field and Stream. I just canceled my subscription because the app will not load the newest edition. In fact, it has caused problems when trying to access the last three editions. Just keeps saying “error opening issue.” Checked my subscription, and it doesn’t end until January 2021. I’m going to miss Petzal after years of reading everything he writes, but the lousy app isn’t worth the headache.

Doesn’t a paid print subscription count for on-line access?
I’m a print copy subscriber, created a log in to this app using my account number as instructed. When I try to open the current on-line version of the magazine it prompts me to buy it or subscribe. I can’t find any other way to access it. Well I’m not paying for the on-line version when I already have a paid subscription to the print version. You can have this app and your on/line access!
