Performance Improvements
Field Area Measure is used to measure the area of fields, plots, roofs, or lawns, as well as the distance of fence lines or paths directly on a map. It also allows you to mark single points with coordinates.
Distances use Vincenty's inverse solution on the WGS-84 ellipsoid, and areas use spherical excess for accurate measurements. The app is designed for precise land measurement.
The description does not explicitly state offline functionality, but it mentions that measurements stay on your device and no third-party code is used, suggesting potential for offline use. However, map data may require an internet connection.
Field Area Measure supports a wide range of units including acres, hectares, square meters, square feet, square yards, square kilometers, square miles for area, and meters, kilometers, feet, yards, miles, and nautical miles for distance.
Yes, you can share your saved measurements. The app allows exporting to formats like KML, GPX, GeoJSON, CSV, or an image, and you can open files sent from other apps.
No, Field Area Measure is ad-free. The description explicitly states 'no ads' and 'no third-party code'.
Based on the provided data, Field Area Measure is currently only supported on iPhone. It is not listed as available for Android devices.
The app was last updated on September 24, 2026, with version 1.2 released shortly after its initial release on September 20, 2026. This indicates recent and active development.
